~Rusty, don't know if they'll make it to the end, but Europcar (and Voeckler) decided to wake up a little -
Hope one of them finishes up front!

Pigale, nice to see Mr Voeckler pop up the road!
We will see a lot more of him in the mountains!

Pigale, Tony Martin caused a crash!
He is in trouble. Looks like his collar bone has gone,
Must be a jinx on the yellow jersey!

I saw it all Rusty ! As you say, makes you wonder if there is not a curse on this yellow jersey this year. Looks like a dislocated/broken collar bone. He probably won't be on the starting line tommow.

Don't know if anyone is hurt apart from Tony ? (In a way, it is just as well it was not anyone else's fault)

When you watch them ride in the peleton though, they are within an inch of each other's wheel !

Voeckler only pointed his nose up front for a short while, and one of his team mates with two other guys (one from Cofidis) made a break for quite a while, so perhaps the French teams are showing signs of waking up !

Pigale, I don't think Tony will start tomorrow.
I remember Sean Kelly rode with a broken collar bone, but the agony became too much and he abandoned.
So, Cancellara, Tony Martin.
Nobody will want the yellow jersey now!
Nibali was OK, I think Quintana was caught up in the crash.

Can you put me in the picture regarding Laurent Jalabert? Is it true he has had a mountain named after him? I loved Jaja! A great rider!

Good afternoon pigale
Merci. I have only just read through all the posts (such a lot)
Thank you. I am finding today very hard indeed. But have enjoyed watching Le Tour, as I hope did you and rusty. . My friend who has just died rebuilt a house in the village of Champniers, (Vienne )and several years we would spend Summers there. A very peaceful village and the house was right next to the little eglise de Saint-Martin with its small bell tower where the angelus would strike twice a day. Very happy memories and lots of photos to cherish. Google images for the church
Hoopoes used to walk around the garden and an ostrich occasionally would visit from a nearby farm. Some time I will let you know more of the French places I have enjoyed. All for this time. Such a beautiful coastline from Abbeville to Le Havre.

Nice to hear from you, Jazzgirl.
You need a bit of time.
Keep your chin up!
Nice that our Tour is helping to take your mind of things.

Thanks rusty.
Shame about Tony Martin's bad injury . I guess he will now pull out of the race.
pigale: I think I have the same printer if it is a HP Photosmart 6520f (all in one). It is brilliant.

I know you are right Rusty, because I remember hearing something about this. I think it is somewhere in the Alps but I am not sure it has become an official name - perhaps something like 'Also known as Jalabert's mountain'

But once again, don't quote me!

I just took a look at the GC, and you know, Contador is not far at all - only 48s behind leader - that's nothing for hin in the mountain stages!
