Elle, I'll tell you about the ospreys!
One of these blasted bands (The Atlantics, maybe?) have had t-shirts (in my day they were called sloppy Joes!) made with a large osprey on, and are selling them at the concerts. For sheer blasted cheek that takes the biscuit.
The girls are great! Meeting one tomorrow, one on Saturday, and one on Monday, so the social calender is doing away grandly!
Right, can I take Wawrinka to win the title?
Tomorrow Le Tour goes from Abbeville to Le Havre.
There were military hospitals at Abbeville and a large military cemetery, but I don't think there will be much else on the way to Le Havre. You are leaving the War behind. But...we shall see!

Oh dear, Rusty! Does that mean that the ospreys are still in situ? I'd thought that they would have been safely 'rehomed' somewhere or other - though quite how that could have been achieved, I don't know? or simply driven away by the bustle and noise of preparations?
I'm sure the girls will enjoy the 'party in the park' anyway.
Sloppy Joes... I remember when I was quite young, attempting to knit one - we called long-line baggy sweaters (as well as T-shirts) 'sloppy joes.'
It was the one and only thing I ever knitted! and the fact that I was ever able to wear it was down to my mother 's 'rescuing' me many times from dropped stitches etc.! I remember it was black! I was very proud of it!
Your social calendar sounds good! Better not say in advance where you are going - you may need to call on Hector, Fang and Rosie if you do! ( I hope you're remembering to feed the pirhanas?)
We have our granddaughter (now 5) and her mum coming to visit tomorrow after school, which will be lovely. We're looking forward to it.

Hello, Elle!
Twin Atlantics the band is called. Chancers!
On their sloppy Joe the osprey is coloured blue.
A blue osprey! Have you ever heard the like?
As far as I know the birds are still there.
But my info is from Daily Record which is notorious for "inaccuracies" and BBC Scotland which has turned misinformation into an art form. I pay no heed to either, although the BBC rile me because it is public money paying for their nonsense and evasion of truth when it suits them. Never get me started on the BBC!
No, the girls often chop and change arrangements anyway.
That is good about the wee one! Does her school be not too far?
Fresh water liven the piranhas up. I think it is the increase in oxygen.

Good Morning Jazzy,

I hope suppose today finds you as well as can be after the trauma of yesterday; It is a tough time to go through but now that it is behind you, time will help.

So, once again, Bon Courage!

Good morning, Doglet!
In the main I suppose the BBC does a reasonable job but it is far too expensive. Not bad for entertainment etc but bottom of the class for News, which is my beef.
I am a member of an online forum which among other things, is checking facts in a particular story which has been running up here for several years. It simply involves "digging", and using the knowledge and expertise of it's members (here I exclude myself) which is what real journalists should be doing. Someone, whose name I misremember, once said " the truth is out there." The published "facts" by the Corporation in their coverage of the story are not correct. There appears to be a policy of avoiding rocking boats. Journalism in Scotland, with several notable exceptions, appears to be at an all time low. Not sure if that is the case throughout these islands?
BBC seems to be adequate for many things, but proper news coverage is not one of them. I check their stories on their websites regularly and many stories in News are several days old, as well.
I hope your birds and animals are doing well in this heat!

Good Morning everyone,

A rather pleasant weather here at present.

Now, I need help, or rather advice :

I need to invest in a new printer and I Just do not know which one to choose - there are so many on the market!

I need something 'middle of the road' quality wise, meaning that I do not have professionna needs, but do not want to go for the cheapest of the cheap either.

I used to like HP but have been disappointed with my last experience and I don't know if it was a paper feed problem with that particular model, or if it was because it was not very expensive at all.

Can anyone recommend anything, brandwise for example? I think I would prefer Ink Jet since it is easier for me to get cartridges, but remain opened to all suggestion.

Thank you !

Morning!
Regarding the BBC and its workings... you might be interested, Doglet, in reading Kate Adie's autobiography?
I've already recommended it to Rusty.... have you managed to read it yet, Rusty?
This is obviously not a present day account of Kate's life spent working as a news reporter for the Beeb, but it makes for very interesting - and entertaining (she's very funny) - reading!
I'm trying to remember what it's called.....(it's out on loan at the moment)
Maybe you can recall the title, Rusty?

Good Morning Pigale. I recently bought an Epson XP-422 expression Home (wireless printer). I am very pleased with it. (see link). I like the feature where I can print from my Ipad wherever I am (you get a free App to download) It is also a copier and if you put an sd card in it can fax. I got it for just under £50
