Hello Elle and Rusty!

It is (very) slightly less cold here too, but our 'heat wave' will
only be on Thursday - a great high of 7C- and snow back for
Friday! I wish it would stay one way or another.

Regarding your cousin and her kind gentleman;
First, she was lucky not to hurt her hand when falling!

Would Tesco filling station not have a surveillance camera?
They could perhaps see the nice man's car registration
No and follow it from there?

Hello, Pigale!
We are having several warmer days then back to freezing at the weekend, so pretty much the way it is for you in France!
There are cameras everywhere these days.
Almost certainly TESCO will have them trained on the pumps.
That is a very good idea to find out who the hero was!
Certainly worth enquiring of the TESCO staff.

Hi, Rusty!
Wrong daughter!
But when younger daughter does get here, she is going to have quite a long list of technical problems to solve!
Our next job is to get the Christmas tree down from the loft........
There appears to be a brisk trade in the Sholach trees, judging by the accumulation of cars around the designated area.
We have had two Christmas cards already!
One came on Friday (so still even in November!)...and the other was hand delivered this morning!
Which reminds me...I have yet to buy my "special" family cards.
Have you already bought yours ?

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, well done, that is a very good idea! especially if she wishes to find him to repay him.
But maybe it is more gracious just to accept with a nice follow-up "thank you"?
I shall mention it to my cousin...another thought is a "thank you" note in the Tesco garage window.
Uhmmm........food for thought!

Hello, Elle!
I had an idea I had the wrong daughter!
Now, the Sholach trees!
I was telling one of the Pine Cone girls about the Sholach trees being sold at the Crystal Palace.
She thinks that these particular trees grow better in cooler Northern climates and the best are the Norwegian trees.
She told me Pine Cone has a lot of orders in the South for trees, too.
All my cards are bought, I think.
I got 18 for £1 at ASDA, and I have the donkey ones.
Just received an email from World of Books that "Bamse" has been posted and should arrive from Thursday.
So, your "Mum" book may be the same?

Yes Elle, I did not mean to reimburse him, he might get
offended, but at least to say thank you would be a nice gesture.

Good morning, Rusty!
Dull, dry and mild (ish) here!
Just home from my walk.
Relatively clean dog today.
A "jobbing" morning ahead of me...I actually have a list of things to which to attend!
All fortunately indoors!
I shall have coffee, apple and cheese first, of course...one must prioritise!
What are you up to, today?

Good morning, Elle!
No blue sky today!
Cold and grey.
I have been for my paper and am home for the day (I think!).
A couple of things to do at home and then free for the rest of the day.
There has been a film company from Nepal shooting scenes for a film on top of our Law yesterday, and at Aberfeldy.
A bit unusual!

Hi, Rusty!
Most of my jobs have been successfully carried out.
I have also been online this morning, placing some orders....hopefully I have done so early enough to avoid getting caught up in the Christmas rush.
I checked on Google about your film-making crew on the Law.
This is what I have discovered from your local paper.........
https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/dundee/557794/video-nepalese-filmmakers-take-law-dundee/
Although you probably already know this by now?
I have more or less finished the 15 x 15!
All done and parsed, bar two interlocking clues in the bottom left-hand corner......
I shall wait a while before asking for help - inspiration may yet strike!!
I especially liked 1d; 13a; and 17d.
I think some tomato soup for lunch sounds good?

Hello, Elle!
I'd have thought there were plenty hills in Nepal for their film, but they appear to have taken a shine to our Law!
Hope it works out for them!
In crossword lingo the "bottom left corner" translates as the "South West" corner!
I have finished but the South East corner made me struggle, especially 25d.
Leave the puzzle for a while and return, often the answer jumps out then.
Tomato soup is good.
I have lentil and bacon, made by me!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just realised that I do not know my left from my right!
It is the bottom RIGHT hand corner that has foxed me.....namely 24d and 29a.
I have some letters...but no answers ......
25d? I have "with" for that?
IT for sex; w- wife; h- husband
I am going out with the dog now...
Light may dawn on the errant clues when I return!
