Hello, Elle!
It was La Bamba's idea to go down town with her Mum and Dad.
She has had a bit of a bug all week (not surprised with her working in a hospital) and she is back on form now.
They were going to Nando's I think.
"Vitiated" is new to me, too, but fair enough for a Friday puzzle!
I am tempted to order the book about Bamse!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, the story of Bamse does sound good.......it is on my "maybe" list, though , as I am still undecided about what I want to buy!
I shall definitely get Jo's book........but I shall keep on eye on the prices.
I might find it cheaper after Christmas, do you think?
I have just had a long phone call from my son!
I think I mentioned the approach of his fortieth birthday?
We share our Wedding Anniversary with his birthday!
So we will be speaking again tomorrow with Congratulations all round!!
I think a coffee is in order now .....

Hello, Elle!
I have just ordered "Sea Dog Bamse" from eBay/World of Books!
That will be one of my Christmas book/presents to me!
I am interested in Jo's book too.
It will drop in price after it has been out a while.
Yes, a big day for you tomorrow, Elle!
A bit of info!
I have just done a "factory reset" on my Hudl, and it has made it much quicker.
Just like new again!
So, that is pleasing.
It is still cold out!

Hello Elle & Rusty,

Freezing here by my standards! Minus 1C now but colder later in
the night. Ah well, it's Winter!

I think that, should I have a problem with my forthcoming Hudl,
you are the first person I will turn to Rusty!
Bear in mind that I never had a tablet before!!!
I should received Hudl and Artzlee next week - so I'llbe busy
sorting myself out, if I understand what I have to do.
¨Please let there be a clear notice with it!

Hello, Pigale!
It is chilly here, too.
Quite frosty!
I think you will be fine with your Hudl, Pigale!
There is a programme to guide you when you switch it on.
It finds your broadband router, you type in the password and that is it.
After that I needed to type in Google address and password and that is it.
It is quite clear how to go about things, Pigale, then you can save your favourite sites etc and you are away!
Any problems just ask and hopefully we can resolve them!

Good morning, Elle!
May I offer CONGRATULATIONS to you and your husband on your 45th wedding anniversary!
A milestone, indeed!
Is there a "name" for a "45th"?
Seems quite cold outside but I have not ventured out yet.
I am sure you will have plenty to occupy yourselves with today, and your daughter is arriving, too!
Right, I am off out!

A very good morning to you, Rusty!
Thank you very much for your good wishes for our Anniversary!
That is very nice of you.
I don't know the names of the "milestones"?
Very cold, damp and misty here.
Good to be out walking , though!
There was no sign of the "rogue" dog...hopefully he will not re-visit the scene of his "crime"!
I think you have made a wise decision, Rusty......I am sure you will enjoy "Bamse".
Your Christmas present list to yourself is growing.....!
I still have to order.......
How do you do a factory reset on the Hudl?
My Hudl is working, but very reluctantly...maybe a reset is what it needs?
It seems to have a lot of unnecessary bumpf?
(Not put on there by me)
A free day until our daughter arrives.......so coffee and the crossword for a start..........

Hello, Pigale!
I think you have it even colder than we do!
I hope your heaters are keeping you warm?
I bet the cats are cosying up indoors?
I am sure you will be fine with your tablets .
I bought a book called "Hudls for Dummies".......
But the book is quite difficult for me to follow .....!

Good morning, Elle!
Today is your "sapphire" wedding anniversary!
I have been digging!
It is a lovely morning here and not quite as cold today.
Now "factory reset."
Firstly, Elle, do you realise that if you do a factory reset, you will lose everything on your Hudl?
All your sites, photos etc will be gone.
You personal preferences on the Hudl will be gone.
The Hudl will be like you have just bought it from Tesco.
To do the reset,
"Settings"
"Personal"
"Backup & reset"
"Factory data reset"
"Reset tablet"
That's it.
It will take a few minutes to do.
Then you can start from scratch.
Make sure your battery is well charged up, first.

Hi, Rusty!
I have never heard the term "Sapphire Wedding Anniversary"?
Our fortieth was our "Ruby" Wedding Anniversary..... and my husband gave me a beautiful white gold ruby ring!
The next milestones I know of, are Gold at 50 years, Emerald at 55, and Diamond at 60.
( If we live that long!)
Remembering back, the 25th Anniversary is Silver.. and for that we rehoused our favourite wedding photo in a silver frame!
But generally speaking , my husband buys me a big bouquet of flowers and we go out for dinner!
Now I might leave the potential reset of my Hudl until my younger daughter can supervise.....I do not have much saved on the tablet - no photos for instance.
But ...you know me with technology.......I might not be able to set it up again with my Favourites!
( Laissez- faire has a lot to be said in its favour!)
I have made a note though of what to do!
