Good morning, Elle!
Great day here!
I have no plans at all.
I will buy food and my paper soon, and that will be that.
Go for the picnic and never heed the weather!

Hi, Rusty!
I have been playing board and card games for most of the morning.
Now I am about to make sandwiches for the picnic!
Plus some interesting extras that I might include.....!
Then we are off out for the day.
I hope I have enough stamina to see me through.....!!
Have a good day yourself.
Catch you later.

Hi, Rusty!
We are home again - and I, for one, am utterly exhausted!
We had a great time though!
We took a picnic in back packs....... the boys helped carry it ......and so we were able to do a lot of walking before and afterwards.
We also encompassed the play area, which is an exceptionally good one for kids (tucked well away in a corner of a massive country park) so all tastes were covered!
The dog had fun! She loves running and there are wide open spaces for that!
Time to organise dinner now...we shall all eat together tonight.
I hope you've had a good day?
What have you been up to?

Hello, Elle!
You should 'phone out for a takeaway tea, save yourself cooking?
I have spent quite a bit of time on 'phone (inc HMRC!)
New tax year, so getting affairs organised.
And watched a bit of the racing.
Egg number 2 has been laid this afternoon!

Hi, Rusty!
I'm just snatching a few minutes out to type this.....it's all go at this end!
It's good fun though - I love having everyone here!
( Even though I shall sleep for a week after they have all gone home on Sunday!)
We don't mention the HMRC......!
You are obviously on better terms with them, than am I!
I have just looked in on Lassie and Laddie after reading your message.....I can only glimpse one egg?
I'll look again later......
How was the racing?
It's time to go and say good night to the boys - they are off to bed!

Good evening, Elle!
I got on fine with HMRC.
i got their Glasgow office. Very straightforward and helpful.
You will be tired after your day out!
Yes, two eggs at the loch now.
Wonder if there will be another?
The racing was so-so. It is not Cheltenham.
Be more exciting tomorrow for the Grand National.
Keep your money in your purse!

Hi rusty
Did you see what happened to Rory's 2nd shot at the 18th? I don't think it will be his year!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, you will be looking forward to the Grand National !
Have you made any bets?
( Have no fear, I shall hang on tight to my money!)
We haven't made plans for tomorrow yet....
We shall see what the day brings.
The boys were asking for another picnic - I am glad that today's was so successful!
Oh dear.....I keep finding myself in danger of nodding off.......
I shall make a drink for everyone and then go to bed, I think........

Good morning, Elle!
Another picnic sounds a good idea.
The National?
I have just a wee bet on the Willie/Ruby runner, Pleasant Company.
i am more interested in Paris-Roubaix tomorrow, and the US Masters, than the National, though.
Paris-Roubaix is my very favourite bike race.
Did I tell you the winner is presented with a cobblestone?
I will be rooting for Peter Sagan!
And remember, you have the Paris Marathon tomorrow morning!
Plenty sport on this weekend!
Off for my paper now.

Hello Chris,
Yes, poor Rory, but these things happen!
But, as he said himself the previous day,
"They don't give out Green Jackets on Thursdays.
It's a long way to Sunday."
He is not too far off the lead, with two rounds to play, yet.
Shaping up to be a great tournament!

Good morning, Rusty!
Theoretically, I have an excellent weekend of Sport ahead of me.........
In practice, I shall probably get to see very little of it, as we have family here.
I potentially have tennis, Euro Indoor Athletics at Belgrade, the Paris Marathon and a Triathlon to watch!
But the only programmes that I can record are the tennis and the Triathlon which are on BBC.
I shall have to search the video section of EuroSports Player later in the week, to see if any of the other events are on record.
Sod's Law eh? Rotten timing!
That is often the way of it.........
I guess your thoughts will be mostly on the golf and cycle racing though!
Yes, you did tell me about the Cobblestone presentation - I like that idea; it sounds very fitting!
Btw, did you see that Jemima Sumgong, the first Kenyan woman to win an Olympic Gold, at Rio, has failed an EPO drugs test?
