Good morning, Elle,
Lovely day here.
Shirt sleeve weather!
On reflection, Elle, I think if you ever find yourself on "Mastermind", you should choose "the Alices, in fact and fiction" as your specialist subject!
Just home from ASDA with my paper!
All the top golf pros (led by Rickie Fowler) in the US are condemning the LPGA for taking heed of a television viewer and penalising Lexi Thompson.
"It makes golf look foolish" says Rickie.
Quite!
Off for a dander now.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is lovely here, too - although the weather forecast says otherwise!
We shall see......
A light fleece is required though as yet!
Will the championship of Rickie Fowler and other pros make any difference to the decision about Lexi?
Are they staging a protest, or getting up a petition, or writing to their MPs or equivalents?
My rebellious streak is aroused.......
You are off very early for your dander?
Where are you heading?
I am off now to get my hair trimmed......I have some shopping to do, too, whilst out....
I should be back about lunchtime.
I have a good picture at the moment of Lassie through IE?

Hi Elle, Rusty et Al,

Has anyone seen the picture of the flamingo on the Loch's blog?
Rather unusual for Scotland isn't it?

Hello, Elle!
It won't make any difference what Rickie et al say or do.
Things like this have been going on for decades.
It is almost 40 years since Tom Watson was overheard by televiewers giving advice to Lee Trevino and penalised two shots. The officials did not know, just the folks at home, and they phoned in.
Tom still won, though!
Craig Stadler was disqualified another time for placing a towel on the ground to kneel on because he did not want to get his trousers wet on the soggy ground. Neither he nor the official knew it was not allowed (they should have) but folk phoned in and out goes Craig!
He had his revenge a few years later though.
Where he placed the towel was under a tree that prevented him standing normally and forcing him to play on his knees.
But the course a few years later decided to remove the tree and called Craig, asking him if he wanted to participate in the tree being removed.
"I sure do" replied the bold Craig, and he turned up with a chainsaw and had a great time chopping the tree down!

Good morning, Pigale!
I trust you are well?
Yes, I saw the loch blog last week telling about it.
I have never heard of flamingos around here.
I thought they stayed in Africa.

Hello Rusty,

I am very well thank you - and you sound better!

There are thousands of Flamingos in the Camargue (towards Provence, near the river Rhône), and a lot of them remain there even in winter whilst others just hop over to North Africa.
The huge flocks are very impressive to watch!

Hi Rossim,

Thanks for letting me know - and all this time, I thought they were babies!
I have seen many owls around here, but never white ones?
