Hi, Rusty!
I have finished the Everyman......and all parsed, too.
The parsing of the LOI took some time, but then the penny dropped!
My daughter is looking at cars - I think she will probably opt to buy another second -hand but newer one, rather than possibly "throw good money after bad".
Where did that expression come from?
Anyway, I must away to get ready......we are leaving in about forty minutes.
We should be home about tea-time.
Have a good day...........

I just read your suggestion, kenyatta. Though it makes sense, I don't know how popular another non-crossword thread would be!

Norah said (page 1 ) chatty threads are still permitted , but keep them short. How long does the rugby season last?

I started with a question about the Lions tour. That runs from 3rd June to 8th July - which would make it quite a long thread!

Good afternoon, Elle!
I hope your visit is going well.
What is "LOI"? Should I know?
I will rule out "Lack Of Intelligence", d'you think?
"Letter Of Introduction"?
I do not know the origin of "throw good money after bad".
Similar to "escalation of commitment", perhaps?
A newer car is a temptation for your daughter, I think.
I went by the "new" horse's field and said "hello" but he is not up for a chat!
Laddie has made a lot of improvements to the nest!
Looks much better now.
It is a fine breezy day here!

Hi, Rusty!
We are back home again!
Still dull and a tad chilly now , with a stiff breeze......
We have been to a park near to my daughter..... a change of territory for our dog!
YB is now able to toddle along, for a short time, which is great fun for him, rather than being pushed in the buggy all the time!!
Now, LOI stands for "last one in"!
( although yes, that could be due to my 'lack of intelligence'!)
I looked up "throw good money after bad" - Brewers gives the meaning but not the origin, so we are no wiser!
I looked in on Laddie but he wasn't at home!
The nest is looking "well-mossed" though!
How is the golf going?

Hey, Rusty!
Where are you?
What are you up to?
I have tried checking on Laddie, but cannot access the nest?
There seems to be a technical problem?
I did, however, see a video of Laddie's arrival!
It was great to see him landing triumphantly on "their" nest!
He must be worrying about Lassie's whereabouts?
I have been having a lazy evening....playing catch -up watching the television, would you believe?
I like the "Call the Midwife" series, as I told you.....it has now finished, but I still have two recorded episodes to watch!
I'm trying to fit them in .........
It will be time shortly to speak to my cousin!

Good evening, Elle!
I am home in my house, is where am I!
i have been communicating by WhatsApp with a young family I know who are at Aviemore/Loch Morlich for a few days, and are having a great time!
They sent me some great pics of the wee ones!
I can get the nest OK, but no sound since Saturday.
Last week I could not get the webcam on Chrome for some reason, but switched to Puffin browser and it was fine.
Cherry has posted that superb photo of Laddie, on the Blog.
They say Laddie's arrival is the earliest they know about at the loch.
Last year he was a week after Lassie arriving.
That is quite normal.
I am following the website at Loch Garten, too, but no birds so far.
Yes, for goodness sake remember to 'phone your cousin!
