Good afternoon, Rusty!
It is pleasant out, but still very chilly.
Such a change from yesterday!
Has the painter now completed the job?
Or does he need to come back again?
Daughter has phoned a second time to report that the mechanic says the clutch on her car is broken, and she will need a new one (clutch not car!)
Although I guess if it proves very expensive, she may in fact consider getting a "new" car instead, as she has had this one for quite a while, and it might prove a better option to exchange the car for a newer one.
She will have to get some quotes on replacing the clutch and take it from there...........
Labour is very expensive down here.
Always problems!
How is your racing going?

Hello, Elle!
Bit dreich here!
Painter is finished for now.
I will get him back later in the year when I get the joiner to fit new doors.
A new clutch will not be cheap but may be worth replacing?
That's the Cheltenham Festival over for another year.
Jessie Harrington trained the Gold Cup winner!
Very pleased for her and the stable!
And Katie Walsh was second on Wonderful Charm in the Foxhunters.
The winner of the Foxhunters was Pacha du Polder (who Victoria rode last year!). Young Briony Frost was the winning jockey and the most excited person at Cheltenham was Victoria!
She was squealing with delight!
I will look in on the loch now, and attempt my crossword after tea!

Great news but unfortunately I have not been able to access
the site today. Is it still windy in your neck of the woods?
Have all your favourite horses performed well?

What a change in the weather today - we have lost 10 degrees!
Which is more in keeping with this time of the year, but yesterday was a very pleasant treat!

Hi, Rusty!
Your painter is certainly very efficient!
Katie did well to come second!
Is Victoria not riding any more?
Has she taken up commentating instead? or does she do that an "extra"?
I looked on the osprey site but the nest was empty.
How do you know that Laddie has come back?
I couldn't find any information about his return.
There didn't seem to be any update to the blog.
I wonder if I am looking in the right place?
Unfortunately, my dog is limping again- I thought the problem had cleared up, as I couldn't find anything seemingly amiss.
I think I may have to take her to the vet.
Oh dear! what was I saying earlier about problems.......

Hello, Elle!
My painter is excellent!
Katie did very well indeed, but so did young Bryony.
Bryony's Dad, Jimmy, was a very good jockey.
I have seen Victoria twice this week.
Once she was interviewing someone, and today was jumping up and down because Pacha had won.
She was less excited winning Olympic gold medals!
I suspect she is still point to pointing.
I have not heard her commentating.
Alice Plunkett and Sally Ann Grassick do most of the interviews.
They know their stuff!
My loch info comes from Twitter.
I follow the Loch site and they Tweeted the gen about lunchtime I think.
I think there were several Tweets.
Laddie is not ringed so they took their time to get the bird's identity right.
So, join Twitter and get up to date with the world!
Yes, you must take doggie to be examined again.

Hi, Rusty!
There does not seem to be an update on the site blog as far as I can see?
Maybe there will be more info tomorrow.......
Was it Laddie who arrived first last year.......to get the nest "ready"?
I cannot remember......
No more news from my daughter about her car....I hope she gets it sorted out soon. They cannot really manage with only one car between the two of them, as each takes a child in a different direction to Breakfast Club and nursery before going to work.
Pick up would probably not be as difficult.
We have a quiet day tomorrow (so far!) but on Sunday our daughter et al were coming over here.
I don't know how the car situation will affect this, but we could probably go there instead.
We shall see .......

Hello, Elle!
Lassie arrived on 18th March last year.
Laddie flew in one week later.
No, there is no update on blog, but they also use Twitter and send emails.
Hope your daughter gets her car fixed soon.
Yes, offer to visit her instead, on Sunday.
Makes good sense to me?
I have a quiet day tomorrow too.
Though I have Sagan to cheer on in Milan-San Remo.
And the golf to watch.
I'll be worn out with all this sport!

Hey, Rusty!
There is "method in our madness", so to speak, for daughter and the children to come here.......
It gives her husband peace and quiet at home to plan his lessons for the next week.
He is a teacher at a Sixth Form college!
But if we have a nice day weather wise all will be resolved , as we can go over there and go out to the park!
We shall take it as it comes.......all this assuming the dog is fit.......
She seems fine again at the moment!
Isn't the "Method in Madness" quote from "Hamlet"?

Hello, Elle!
I have not a Scooby about what is in Hamlet!
Never read it.
But Pigale or someone fairly knowledgeable may look in and respond.
But I do know what the word "smaragdine" means!
"Emerald green"!
It is Merriam Webster's "word of the day"
I follow Merriam Webster on Twitter.
