Gosh, my connection is so slow this morning that by the time I reply to a thread, everyone is talking about something else!

Must be the heat - have just closed shutters on South side !
How is your weather at present?

Good morning, Elle!.
The rain has stopped!
I fully agree with your first paragraph.
Murray represents Murray at Wimbledon, not Scotland or Britain. He (and the rest) are playing for prize money. So I cheer someone I like, for whatever reason.
I don't mind Andy, but that is all.
I do not want Djokovic or Nadal to win.
Very suspicious performances, and rumours in the background.
Same for Serena William (and her "panic room").
I like Federer, he seems a gentleman, but I don't know any of the younger players. May the best man win!
The ladies? I like Sharapova; great lungs!
I would be happy to see a younger winner though.
And it would be nice to see Jalina Jankovic teamed up with Jamie Murray again! That was fun!
I have just seen a clip of Wozniacki on Eurosport playing keepy-up with a football. She is very good indeed!

What's the story on Djokovic, rusty? I thought the speech he made after losing to Murray in the final was the epitome of good sportsmanship.

His tremendous stamina and powers of recovery have been called into question by people in the sport.

I just hope the allegations were not true.
Very pleasant 18c here, no sun and a little welcome rain for the garden..
I am not looking forward to Wednesday, as the temp. is due to hit 32c . I intend to stay indoors all day.

Snap for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - Meteo threatening us with 37/39 for my area - which will mean more than that in sun of course. Did some shopping yesterday so don't have to go out for 10 days if necessary !

~As for the allegations, not sure whether true or not, the step daughter (Catherine Allegret) was an actress but not a very well known one as far as I know - so did she want a bit of needed publicity? Sick way to get it though.

PS - She was 58 when she published the incriminating book in 2004 - why wait so long to report something that happened in the 50s onward? Why not report it when he was still alive?

Reverting to Edith Piaf,' the sparrow of the streets', do you recall Mirielle Mathieu known I think as 'the sparrow D'Agignon?'She did appear on our T.V. and was a most impressive performer

I do indeed remember Mireille Mathieu. I have an EP which I bought soon after she appeared on the British television.
