Hello, Elle,
The walk was fine!
A bit dampish but that is what raingear is for!
I have been reading about some of our local primary schoolchildren who, today, completed a 270 miles "Antarctic" walk!
They wanted to "walk in the footsteps" of Scott and Shackleton who trekked that distance from RRS Discovery in Antarctica in 1901.
The children started their walk in August and walked at "playtimes" and lunch breaks, until today, when they finished their walk at the gangway of RRS Discovery at the harbour.
I think these young ones are just great, and so are their teachers!
Hello, Pigale,
Hope you are fine!
On Friday evening there is a programme on BBC2 television here.
It is called "Wild Tales from the Village".
The blurb says, "A year in the life of an extraordinary village hidden away in the French countryside, showing the parallel world of tiny creatures that live side by side with unsuspecting humans."
I like the sound of it and am looking forward to seeing it.
When I saw the "blurb" I immediately thought of you and your village!
A pity you don't get BBC2!
