Hello, Elle!
A good day's work you done, so!
I have had an easy day.
Watched the Parliamentary thing about drugs etc in British cycling.
Dame Sarah got 3,580 votes.
Only Danny Willett finished below her.
Murray had 247,419 which was well ahead of Brownlee who had 121,665.
Trotty was well down, too, which surprised me.
There were 16 contenders on the list I seen.
All over for another year!

Hi, Rusty!
My goodness, Andy was indeed popular!
Realistically (if not ideally), I expected him to win, but not by so huge a margin!
I am not surprised by Alistair Brownlee doing well - I think his heroic gesture in helping Jonny over the finishing line in the World Triathlon Race gained him many votes (Brownie points!)
I have now sorted through the mail - packages and cards - awaiting me when I got home, and have discovered that "Alaska" has already arrived!
This is very quick, isn't it?
I only just seem to have ordered it........and the estimated delivery dates were 21 -23 December.
It is fine, looks in good nick.
I progress with "R to P"......having gambled away the baby, we are now into cannibalism!

Hello, Elle!
I would have not minded at all, if Alistair won.
The thing is, Murray is much better known than Brownlee.
That would have an effect.
I still do not understand why Froome was not in it!
That was quick with "Alaska"!
There is a lot about Russia in it.
You will not have had time to tackle the crossword?
Not too bad today, though there was a French region I had never heard of.

Hi, Rusty!
No, I've only had time to do the Times QC.
That was easy enough, but I cannot face the 15 x15!
I'm too tired to think!
Elder daughter rang , so I have been chatting on the phone!
The elder boys finish school tomorrow for the Christmas holidays.
But BB doesn't break up till Wednesday.
I have been trying to donate online to support a friend's efforts to raise money for the PDSA - who did a lot for his sick dog.
David held a photography exhibition which we were unable to attend, so I am trying to give money.......but the website still will not allow me to donate!
Technology!

Hello, Elle!
That is odd?
Is it the PDSA site?
Maybe you have to be a member or some such?
Is the exhibition online and you could contribute?
Do you have a PDSA charity shop not too far off?
I would forget the crosswords for today.
You have had a busyish day!

Hi, Rusty!
It is a "Just Giving" line that David has set up to help reach his "target".
This is a reputable website for donating to charity.
I have posted donations through this before, when our younger daughter did charity runs for Cancer Research UK.
I cannot see what the problem is on this occasion?
Yes, I could, of course, donate directly to the PDSA, I am sure...but it would be nice to do it under David's "umbrella" and help him realise his ambition, as he has worked hard to set all this up.
I shall investigate further ....I can ask folk in the park tomorrow if any one else has had a problem.
There is bound to be a solution!

Hello, Elle!
I am with you, now!
I have used the Just Giving site in the past when young ones were doing "stuff" for charity.
I do not ever remember having a problem with it, though?
May I suggest you come off the site, then log back in again and see if that helps?
If not, try again tomorrow.
If it is a site problem, there will be many like you,....stuck!
So, I'd imagine folk are emailing them to let them know.
Or Google "Just Giving problems" and see if that turns up anything?
I am all out of "bestest" ideas, now!

Hey, Rusty!
Success!
On my fourth attempt of trying it has worked!
Leastways, it accepted my card etcetera.......but when I checked back, the message of good will that I left has not yet come up?
I seem to remember its doing that immediately when paying in to my daughter's "Just Giving" line.
Maybe that, too , is just being sluggish?
Anyway, nothing I can do right now....I shall check again tomorrow.
Why are things never simple!
Time for a strong coffee?

Hello, Elle!
Check your bank balance tomorrow to see if it worked or not?
I remember the site being straightforward and I am not the brightest.
Hopefully you should be able to see or add your message.
See if there is a "Help" section there, to guide you through it.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it has always been straightforward in the past.
The puzzling thing is that I have now received an email from Just Giving , thanking me for my donation - yet still there is no message showing on the website?
I guess at least it looks as though the PDSA will get the donation....but maybe David won't get the goodwill message!
Ah well...I can check, as you say, to make sure the money has gone through...and I can tell him by word of mouth that we have supported his venture!
No big deal, I suppose .......but it's been very time- consuming and frustrating!
