10 parses 2, 3, 4, where the 3 is a word missing its last letter

10 parses as 2 (slang), 3 (word w. last letter dropped), 4. The order is not what might be expected from reading the clue.

Thanks geeker, I see it now.

The slang term is not a familiar one to me

Hi everyone

Started late as usual and had a quick read through, which only generated one answer (25ac). I usually hope to get at least two. I fear it may be full of pop bands, so I don't stand a chance. I don't know any golfers either.

I'll have another go through and see if I can get some more. I assume 7/12d is an anagram of an actor, but nothing has stuck so far. I hate all the cross referred clues. And the clue for 17ac - only one word!

Hi roof
Read 17a as two words!

25a my FOI too. Only one pop band as an answer (I had never heard of them).

Roof. If you ever bought vinyl records you'll get 8a without knowing any golfers. Likewise 7,12, if you get any crossers there's only really one name to go in 7. Google the rest.

Really struggling with this- have 22 and 25 which seem to indicate a theme? Getting thrown by the multiple music references.
