MASSIVE problems for me. I have a full grid - I don't know how as I can only parse just over half the clues. I have all the misprints other than in the (13.26), (35,15), (37,5) and (19,25) clues, but nearly all the other clues are baffling me. The answer I have for 5 down is non-sensical for the clue, with or without a misprint!!

5d - anag ('rough') of next two words minus the two initial letters and the three (identical) letters of 'basic skills'. Def is first two words (after correction).

...sorry, my 'minus' is too early (it comes after the initials).

Thanks drxx, at least my answer was right!!! The instruction is now my problem, as the 3 longer words seem key, the first of which is strange (to me at least).

The first short word will be more familiar over the pond, gitto - but the others are all commonplace.

I’m still struggling to enter the solutions of the “other clues” . I’ve solved several of them, often finding extra material in the clue, but my answers won’t then go in.

The preamble mentions an instruction to ''enable solving of the other clues'', dylan - it doesn't suggest changing their answers in any way.

...hope you're not using the final numbers to relocate your answers, dylan (that's not how they work).

I’ve think I’ve solved a few of the others eg in 1 and 7, in some cases without complete parsing but clearly fitting the definition. Then these answers don’t fit with answers from the corrected clues

1d - invert first word + the two single letter abbrevs [the small word between them is probably one of the extras you mentioned earlier]. The answer doesn't clash with 1a.
7d - 'expired' (4 letters) around the two single letter abbrevs - last two words for the def (I had to check the answer in Chambers - it is a kind of 'harrow' and can be a verb). Again, the answer doesn't clash with 7a.
