Utterly stumped on 28ac and 29dn if anyone would like to offer a nudge!

Sorry! 9d of course. I parsed it as definition first two words (one hyphenated); next word as two letters then the remainder as three letters.

I'm equally mystified about 6d ....and I did read Biggles, but its details have long left me!

Perhaps, I have made a mistake with 11a, which I thought had a change. Doubt is setting in. Could somebody give me a hint?

CM, I too couldn’t see the obvious in 28a and was helped by Cockie @30. For 29d, the German term for the last word in the clue might steer you in the right (theatrical) direction..

Crowdedmorning, 28a is a 'sounds like'. Definition, first word - there are only 3 options. Think golf for the wordplay. But it has to be evened.

Haven't a clue about how 29d is parsed!

Oof, just got 28dn I think, and a modification appears to fit. Thanks both for the help!

JA, re 29d, your hint is all the more mystifying, as my grid answer is German and defined by the first word of clue! Your theatrical hint suggests a name that contains the answer I have but I’m still flailing around as to what this all means.

Cm - Brian accepts the answer you have (literally) to give a word meaning causing alienation

Ahh finally I see, thanks CD! This is exactly the sort of clue I’m terrible at parsing.

Lots of vexation over 6d. A big hint was given earlier in the thread. Def is last 4 words, but beware of the first of the four.
Wordplay is usual single letter for English + 4 letter "point" without it's final letter, the usual for positive.
The entry is then evened to give at least 22 and a half yards, which fits with the evened 11Ac.
