Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.

The theme
Help towards the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction - enough to be useful, not to much that it would spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

Although these Listener threads have many regulars, newcomers are always welcome.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Kea's up to his usual excellent standard - and nice to see a completely new gimmick.

Must have been tough on the mathematicians having to get through a couple of weeks without anything to count - but it's business as usual. After Shark showed how to develop a theme to the full I hoped we were in for a run of them.

I liked some of the trickier clues (and the cold-solving makes it interesting, I think).

I have a completed grid but can't parse 3d, which makes me suspect that I've gone wrong somewhere.
I know it's a bit early, but any hints would be appreciated.

rhsl - standard word meaning 'express dislike', plus fairly standard word for 'bow', shoe is the definition.

I guess the answers at 13a and 21d are members of the class of which 3d is a shortened form. Wordplay is an abbreviation for dictator with a 1-letter Roman numeral for 11.

I think that the clue is answered at 3d by an abbreviation for dictator with a letter for 11 in mediaeval Latin included in it, forming a word which describes 13 & 21. However, I believe this word needs to be "meaned" before entry and there I cannot (yet) help.

No "evening" required for 3d, as far as I can see.

It can't be evened as all 4 of the crossing letters match; if it were evened two of it's letter would need to change
