I have, and have had for some time, a filled grid and have correctly identified the relevant cells to highlight (brown, I think, is the nearest). But the final stage seems unconnected to the rest of the puzzle and the location. Changing one grid letter gives me something "fit for a king or queen". Am I chasing a red herring by thinking that Agricola might be a dentist?

Finally I have a full grid and identified all of the A,B,C,D clues. 27 across and 5,8 & 14 down caused me loads of pain and took nearly as long as the rest of the solve - not helped by incorrectly parsing, and therefore identifying the clue type, for 9 down. Now, I fear, the end game may be beyond my simple brain.

I have an empty NW corner, so a hint for 1ac or 1dn would be appreciated
Thanks

Gitto, I think I'm about in the same place as you (grid filled, A, B and C identified). Most of my D makes sense apart from towards the end, from just over halfway down the right-hand column. I've double-checked all those answers and can't see where I've gone wrong with any of them, although I must have because it doesn't make sense. Without that, I won't be able to progress the endgame. But then, have I enjoyed it enough thus far to continue to agonise over it for much longer? Probably not.

Dylan, 1d is deniatnoc (spelled backwards so that casual readers won't see what I've written).

simond9x @16, what do you mean by the right hand column?

Oh, sorry, the right-hand column of clues. My D makes sense in the left-hand column and the first half of the right, but then it falls apart.

Ah! I had made a mistake. It makes sense now. The endgame beckons.
