All done apart from a couple of queries.

The second clue in 6a. I have a answer, partly from the crossers and partly from the endgame. It must be correct but I can't find the word in any dictionary and I've no idea how it relates to the clue.

The second clue in 10d. I have the answer but can't see the wordplay.

Any subtle nudges would be most welcome.

Hi Simon,

6/2 - if you take a contraction of a word for "not" and reverse it/western you get the dialect word for "ditch"

10/2 - over half of a word for ""high" as in drunk reversed/scales goes after/under 2 letter "note'

Sorry Simon, I got 6 the wrong way around, you reverse the "ditch" to get the answer.

I meant to say that Vainglorious did exceptionally well to include one thematic subject. That one took me a while to pull apart. Clever construction.

williamseal, the answer is an anagram of "1 sitar" in a word for an anatomical passage. But the grid entry is seriously affected by the 3rd sentence of the preamble.
