It's the definition.

I still can't see t. I have the answer (I think) and can see how the clue breaks down but still can't untangle the full wordplay.

I should have said it's part of the definition

No, the last 3 words (I think! that's my interpretation anyway)

I'm really struggling with t. I have an answer for which the definition would be the first 3 words. I'm assuming the 4th is an anagrind followed by the fodder, with an indication that some is to be removed?

I'm still struggling with j. From what has been said I expect "my" to be a 3-letter word for my as in addressing a judge.
This has confused me as much as the clue.

t the anagram fodder is 5 letters from 9 (and the bases are thematic). you are right with defn.

Frustrating. I solved 27 in a reasonably quick time without too may hold-ups. Currently stuck on l, j, c and p. Been staring at them for ages. I assume that f actually is unclued.

im stuck with j as well (and i think i may have made a grid error to boot)...

l - defn last 3 words, 4 letters then 1 is wp

c - defn last word, wp is 3 letters rev in 2

p - 4 letters (2 words) container for single letter, defn last 2 words.
