All done and dusted. A fairly straightforward offering. Thanks, Dysart — love that title!

(Struggling, however, to parse 27d. How does 'last' lead to the three letters required?

Hi Jiff73,

Chambers thesaurus gives "to be" as "last" as in 'remain' and 'endure'.

Thanks, brendan. I did think along those lines at one point but, due to the lateitude of my perusal of the BRB, I looked under 'are' rather than 'be'... D'oh!

Thanks Jif73,

We've been spoiled with this week's "holy trinity" - they've all been top rate, with Ifor's EV and Phi's IQ in addition to Dystart's wonderful puzzle here.
