I wonder if 15 might be MOTOR SPORTS, as the bit in the middle of motor is ‘oto’, so a kind of reverse clue.
Just an idea

It's at the end of the word, not in the middle.

For 17, use the Roman letter for 500 and solve the anagram.

Not sure I follow, my thought was…
mOTOr + ‘sports’ meaning exhibits/displays

Sorry, I mean the key word in the solution ends in oto.
