This thread is aimed at those needing a little more help. If you're struggling with a Listener clue, you can post a request here.

Slightly more generous hints to the theme may also be given here - in response to a request, not unsolicited. It is, of course, tricky to define 'slightly more generous', but I feel it's worthwhile trying to get the balance right.

I hate being the first to ask for help, especially so early, but 5a has me stumped. I've used the search feature in the Chambers app but there are no matches. I am confident that I have the crossing letters correct. Is it an old British brand name or similar?

Mathprofrockstar, it's just an odd variation of a very normal word, the definition being'sweets' (candies, not desserts). Anagramming is involved...

MPRS - the plural isn't in the Chambers app so search without the final letter
