This thread is aimed at those needing a little extra help. If you're struggling (really struggling!) with a Listener clue, please post your request here. Slightly more generous hints to the theme may also be given here. It is, of course, tricky to define 'slightly more generous' but I feel it's worthwhile to try to get the balance right.

*ANSWERS- this refers to individual clues rather than a shopping list of half a dozen or so. And this is not a place for lists of answers to be posted gratuitously, any such will be removed.

ok thanks. i was fixed on the heartless relation being a(un)t so no wonder i got stuck. i have a 5 cell pointing at a 4 cell group so there are 8 more to find. back to staring but thanks again

Oh dear, yet again a thoroughly entertaining puzzle with superb red herrings, subtle misprints, amusing clues, is to be finished by another "I wonder what he has in mind?" bloody word search. OK, the name, OK the device, but what about the other 8 letters? What is meant by "contiguous"? IRRITATING!

Obviously much simpler than last week’s, but I think very nicely done.

It would have been great to have the ‘7’ of 7D a knight’s move down and right from where it is, but really a very satisfying moment indeed when it became clear what the ‘extra’ eight cells were for.

I seem to have the device in a straight line but not the name. Have I done something wrong?
