Found a useful tool on line which has sorted 28D and is spurring me on.

I’m doing ok with this now, have the thematic stuff and know what the unclueds will be.
Can I have the definition for 11d?
And the only columns I’m not sure which way round the clues go are column 5 and 7. Can I ask if both three letter entries are the ones with letters removed?

Struggling to break the code. 20 across seems an obvious way in, I have the same letter in columns 6 8 10 and 12, but can't find anything useful at the moment.

I'm not very good with ciphers. From the letter repetition in 20ac I have a food as the possible answer, but I can't see what simple cipher would result in the initial C becoming T and the Rs As. Could someone give me a little help? A nudge with 16 would also be appreciated.
