Very enjoyable this one. Took awhile to get going (I blame the cricket being on) but once got going found it very enjoyable.

Managed to do this without much help from my Dad which is v rare for me!

Finished today but it wasn't really one for me. I had to resort to the forum on several occasions.

The 26a spoonerism doesn't work for me phonetically and I thought they were supposed to be spoken rather than written.

Although I’ve searched the thread I’m still failing to see 21down and 25 across - would welcome further hints

21d - Is a format of the game (don't do I what I did and try adding them together) - it's just a word meaning "score" that when repeated is a format of the shorter game.

25a - If you have the answers to 8a and 24a - this is what they wear when they play.

I thin it works well, you just switch the T and C and you you get a 4 letter "stuff" and 4 letters "seamen".
