I enjoyed this too. Most of it came quite quickly but the last few took a bit of getting including the notorious 18d and the clever 21d. I liked 9a but can't see how you lose the a unless the abbreviation for about is 2 letters. As a retired tax inspector, my COD has to be 7d.

Finally finished! All done this morning except for 7d and 23a. With no knowledge of cricket, 23a was always going to be LOI, but 7d kept me going for ages. I just could't get "beak" for "bill" out of my mind.....

I just started working the prize crosswords in the iOS app. I finished Everyman 3881 and 3883—correctly, as far as I can tell—but the app didn’t seem to react when I filled in the last square. No congratulations, no try again... nothing. Is this normal?

FWIW I input the same solution to 3883 on the Guardian website and also got nothing.
