18d - PDM duly arrived - another excellent clue:-)

Hi Alzy,

Do you mean 21d? If so, it's a homophone of a mathematical "function".

Hi FrSteve,

10a - Is a 5 letter "jazz instruments" (an abbreviation of a common brass instrument) minus its first letter/"no intro" - definition is a nickname for "electric guitars"

You just need to lop off the first letter of instruments usually associated with jazz. The answer is a common term for guitars apparently.

No problem, I play both (though I got rid of my sax because I live in a flat and it would be unfair on the neighbours) so saw the answer straight away.

Small spoiler alert there!

19ac - I don’t think the items taken by the tree are hallucinogens.

Otherwise, another good week.
