Everyman on good form I thought with trademark rhymes, alliteration, cockney pronunciation, self-references and a couple of gins.
Also maths clues... Happy Pi day! (3.14)

Morning all. Well, I found that much easier than usual, esp after yesterday's Guardian Prize which I've barely started. FOI was 1D then 1A. Liked 16A & 18D but my COD has to be 17A which raised a smile.
Stay safe.

I'm puzzled by 25a. I have a synonym for "conceal", but don't see what it has to do with "whip".

Favourite, by a long way, 1a.

Morning all! Lovely puzzle. I keep wanting to say something like “typical Everyman” or “standard Everyman”, but it was too good to be referred to as typical or standard.

I finally remembered to look for the rhymes, having been coached for weeks by Brendan! Brendan, I’ve been doing Everyman for years and never noticed rhyming until I started reading your threads and even then I had to go back and hunt for them once you’d pointed them out.

FOI 3a, COD 17a. I had the answer to 11a very quickly but I had the wrong crosser from 3d, due to filling it in very casually while watching a cross country skiing race on the telly and not paying attention to the wordplay. Congrats to any from the US, Jessie Diggins your first ever World Cup winner.

Agree with you, but there are several references on tinternet to the material of a whip. Could be that?

Good one today agreed definitely easier today exactly 1 hour which is good for me. It helps when you make a good start 1d followed by North West corner.
