I found this one tricky but fair. It is unusual to have the PDM with a grid less than a quarter full but it was needed. It would have been very difficult indeed to crack some clues without two complete rings and knowledge of the unentered letter(s).
Having said that all the clues were crackable.
Many thank A♥️s.

Finally nailed it. This is the first one for a very long time that we thought of giving up. Very cleverly constructed so thanks to Ace of Hearts, but be more gentle on us next time please. And ....no Scottish words for a change, but “pigment” has cropped up twice since lockdown. All parsing dutifully documented for the records while I watched the Grand Prix.

All complete but for the radial at 27. I think I have the answer but the parsing is beyond me. Any hints would be much appreciated.

Great puzzle and didn't help myself by entering the lead characters first name as *U*** No wonder I spent an hour on my last radial (2)

Puzzled by a couple of early correspondents who apparently found this distasteful. Or am I misunderstanding something?

Religous aspect of first quote?
I still can’t see the second quote.

BobbyCollins. Perhaps they took offence at the quite innocent dialogue between young people discussing their sexual experience?

Lumen. The removed letters, starting from Clue 1 radial and reading clockwise, spell out a sentence from the heroine asking a question. The gist of the conversation can be inferred from my previous entry.

Oh yes, religion and sex, two subjects best avoided.
Thanks simplesimon, I had ignored that quote, thinking wrong length, but I see now it starts in an unusual way.
Right, on with my radials....
