As ever, many thanks Malone

Are the three objects used to separate elements of the person’s name? If so I’m there

A good puzzle

It seems to me that 28ac doesn’t begin with the letter it needs to in order to spell out the clue to the name. Anybody else notice that?

Williamseal, I know it's now been answered. I was trying not to give everything away in my last post. I thought you would suddenly see what was to be done - glad you did!

I'm clearly being dense. Is the thematic object as described in 25ac? I have the right shape, but I don't know what the other elements are doing. Anyway, I'll probably end up shading accordingly.

Just popped in to add my congratulations to Chalicea. A masterpiece (shouldn’t that be “mistresspiece”?) of construction. The PDM was one of the best!

Huge thanks to tatters for the PDF, and to Chalicea for a lovely puzzle. The PDF link really helps when going out shopping isn’t so easy.
Along with a fantastic IQ on Saturday and a perfectly acceptable Spectator on Friday, it’s helped me fill my time this week (oh and 880 pages of Hilary Mantell !) Like many others I’m sure, I lost my work due to the virus. These will keep me sane, I hope.
Speaking of HM, I don’t recall any Henry 8/wives/Cromwell themed crossword......?

Crates, yes I had that. But the use of 28ac in 17ac is what confused me. But now I’ve just realised it’s “across” rather than 28 across, if that makes any sense!
