What a lovely post, Jogamel! Glad you too enjoyed this week's excellent puzzle.

PS I wasn't a huge fan of the Ribblehead viaduct puzzle, sorry.

I got it all finished too, thanks to Malone and others for tips. Very nice.
Actually I'm not sure about the first letter or parsing of 5a if any one can help.

Hi Lumen, the first 4 letters are a synonym for "shocks" as in 'hair'.

Hi, Brendan - will you get the 'i' again next week? I hope we get another good puzzle then.

Hi Malone,

This was an absolute work of art, literally and figuratively. It's amazing how Pointer was able to construct it.

There's a couple of crosswords that I've kept over the years because of their sheer brilliance, and this has just been added to them.

I'm officially hooked - can't wait until next week:-)

Thanks, Brendan. Although I enjoy Inquisitor most weeks, this one was particularly impressive on so many levels. The next puzzle might not be as stunning, but it's likely to be worth doing.

Just been doing my post puzzle noseying. The old bugger was only convicted of stealing the frame!

I also thought the Ribble Viaduct puzzle a gem, but I am also relatively local to the environs.
