Hi catcharmer glad that helped

29a then...I think this clue is referred to as an &lit?? Kind of literal but the straight clue is ‘fight’ and the literal help is ‘what might end a fight’. Think boxing - in the ring - how does each round end?

Hope that helps!

26d - a bit clueless myself! I think I have the answer as the composer who wrote Lutheran masses but don’t get the parsing! Would be keen to understand myself too!

Hi waggers. I’ve got that one. (Nice!). Just need 26d. Is it a famous composer?

Hi Catcharmer, yes, it is a famous composer and it's also a Welsh word meaning 'friend'.

You certainly do, Catcharmer. I'd never heard the word used in that context before.

Glad to help Waggers.

It certainly seems, judging by the comments, that most people found this week's Everyman at the more difficult end of the scale.

Hi all, I need help with 19A - Ladies given latitude to opine on line. _ L _ G. I have two possible answers. The first is a colloquial term to criticize which read backwards is a colloquial term for a group of women. But if that is the case I don’t get the “online” reference. The second is an online journal starting with B but if that is the case, I don’t get the reference to ladies - the “l” would come from latitude.
