Congrats SW and thanks kt17.

I'm a bit puzzled about the word order!

Congrats sw. Thanks kt, including the mention (it was indeed setters originally!). The film was partly shot in Stony Stratford, 5-10 mins drive from me.

Sorry ChrisE, I don’t quite get your drift - have I cocked up?

Just watched the clip - thanks. I prefer the setting from Hair:

btw has anyone here tried the Withnail and I challenge? Watching the film and taking a drink every time one of them does? Apparently it's near impossible to still be coherent by the end of the film!

Chrise - if you Google it you find it's an archaic phrase, hence the strange word order.

Not you, kt
So mote it be (4)
I'm probably missing something, but
Mote it be so
seems to be a better double definition. As I said, I've probably missed the nub!

Pagans are also mentioned in relation to the phrase.

ChrisE - SW’s riffing on the word ‘mote’ -

1). Speck of dust as we all know

2). Archaic usage, meaning ‘may’, as in ‘So may it be’.

No, I didn’t know either!

Every day’s a school day here!
