Mersault- that is of course one of my options but I am not sure I can see how it makes 'some sort of sense'. Time will tell! I am going to cast it aside, 36 hours devoted to one last clue suggests I am obsessive.
"Script editing left supporting actor's part alone" is certainly strained, but does make some sense. I think it might have read better as "Script editor left..."
Talking of which, PKA1, it was likely just a case of the editor not doing his job.
Thank you all. SO obvious when you tell me. I just was too blinkered to see it or maybe just a one-track mind. Will save on a stamp this week - not all my own work!
Martyn - in this clue "discontented" means remove the contents, creating RS from retailers. To supply is to fit giving outset for outlet (letter change). Hope this helps!
Just a couple of doubts about answers in this crossword. I'm confident I have the correctly finished grid but two of my answers are not in my Chambers (probably needs updating). They are 'eonic' and 'urbaner'. Surely the latter is 'urbanite'. Not a great enthusiast of 'printer's devilry' I must confess but this one had some .features. Some of the clues were well constructed. Still struggling to make sense of 37 across which by my reckoning is a PD type.
