Rusty, why do I get the feeling you are not taking this security problem seriously!
If it's my fault for asking questions then I'm very sorry...I'm interested in people, I always ask questions!
I promise I'll be more careful in future.
I'm sure it's all a storm in a tea cup, but best be on the safe side..... I'd hate to think some criminal followed you or the girls home!
I'm getting on well with Tommy Atkin's progress in the war. It made me think though when I read "You could get a soldier for a shilling, but a horse cost £100". Life was so expendable.
Perhaps I'd better not ask what you are doing tomorrow ?!

Elle, no need to apologise to me!
You are naturally nosey. Far better that way than not asking. At least nosey folk get a conversation going!
You keep it up! Being nosey is one of your better qualities, d'ye see?
That's good about Tommy Atkins.
Yes, of course you should read the rest of Lyn's books.
1915: The Death of Innocence, is next.
I have always felt sorry for the horses.
The war was not their doing.
Tomorrow? I shall practise shadow boxing in the morning. A brisk bit of pummeling. Maybe some weight training and karate moves after lunch. Then I shall dust down my shillelagh.
And if anyone comes near my door I hope none of my Alsatians (Fang, Rosie, and Hector) get excited.
I hope you have a pleasant morning.
The forecast here is not very good for the next few days. How are you and Hotmail getting on?

Good Morning
Rusty: your post has just creased me up. A giggle is a good start to the day. Thank you.
Right now, I'm trying to make "friends" outside of Facebook, while applying the same principles.
So, every day I walk in the street and tell people what I ate (and show them a photo) tell them how I feel, what I did and will do next. I also listen to the conversations of others and comment "Like".
It works! I already have 3 people who are "following" me: a policeman, a psychiatrist and a psychologist.

My husband is obsessive about computer security and I can see why the web is wonderful but also has a dark side and people willing to use it for the wrong reasons. The way young people give away every detail of their lives s frightening, nothing is private anymoreMy grandson says it is because they want friends but I am afraid that some of their"friends" arent what they seem

My FB rule is that I only add "real" friends : those that I personally know and have met, such as cousins. Anyone asking to be a "friend" that I don't know from Adam can take a hike.

Good morning, Jazzgirl!
Nothing like a wee chuckle!
Facebook does not appeal to me.
I don't think I say "omigod!" often enough to be accepted.
I often ponder on how we all managed twenty years ago without mobiles, puters, Twitter, self-service tills, the Cloud etc.
It sounds so Podunk (new word to me from Anne Bradford!)
Enjoy the rest of your day and good luck with Jolan's 5!

Have a good day too rusty.
I have just found podunk in Chambers.
I very rarely post anything on FB. In fact I am often contacted to "see if I am still alive "!
I would love to see you on Jolan's 5 as I know you would solve them well. He has been short on numbers recently and he works so hard for us. But I know you are a busy bee.

Busy! Me? I have been dinging this punchbag for half half an hour! Not a moment to spare!
I am a fan of Jolan.
Excellent clues and he has a lovely manner about him.
I am quite pleased with myself today, pummeling apart.
For a week or so, my shortcut icons on my Hudl morphed into plain squares. This was with Google Chrome. I tried many different things in failed attempts to restore them to their former glory.
So today, I uninstalled Chrome, left it for a few minutes,
and re-installed it. My icons are back to normal!
So far, a good day!
