Good morning , Rusty!
Another lovely warm day!
An enjoyable walk this morning!
It was a great tennis match - neither player deserved to lose!
One of the Argentine supporters had to be escorted from the court by Security guards because he was disruptive and kept yelling out, disturbing Andy whenever he had to play an important point!
The umpire dealt with it quickly and efficiently - it was but a hiccup in the scheme of things!
I am about to watch the two Lauras now, on BBBC iplayer........
The boys are arriving later this morning.....coming till Saturday......
I shall need this stamina that you mentioned!

Hello, Elle!
I think you could be in for a hectic week!
Laura Weightman was badly spiked during her race.
Hope she shall be fine!
Young Miss Muir was impressive!
I have been chopping more wood.
La Bamba was "helping".
Andy's granny was speaking on BBC this morning.
Seems a very nice lady.
Not very sure of the programme today, other than Trotty starting the omnium.
She is the biz!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Where is all this wood (that you are chopping) coming from?
I watched both Lauras on the BBC iplayer on my desk top early this morning.
Laura Weightman's leg looked a mess - she ran with blood pouring from it.
The interviewer ( cannot remember his name) said that he thought she might need stitches.
I hope she will be all right to run in the Final.
Laura M is running very powerfully - hopefully, she should be in with a good chance of a medal?
I have decided that I much prefer watching on the BBC Sports website as it shows uninterrupted viewing of the event.......not interspersed with a different discipline here and there, as has been occurring on the televised programmes.
Strangely, though, the computer and the TV are out of sync.
Last night my husband was calling to me from his study - where he was dealing with paperwork and keeping an eye on the Murray match at the same time - to tell me that Murray had won.....but I hadn't reached that stage yet on the computer!
Nearly.........but not quite!
Very strange?
The boys are here........ we shall be going to the park shortly........
It will all keep me fit .........if it doesn't kill me first!

Hello, Elle!
Yes. Laura Muir looks very good, I think.
The wood came on a lorry, I was told.
A couple of dead trees and railway sleepers.
All chopped now, and La Bamba has a blister!.
I often find BBC programmes out of sync.
At times I wish Eurosport were covering the Games.
No studio yapping with them!

Hi, Rusty!
We are all home again!
Hopefully the troops are worn out and will sleep well tonight!
We have done our good deed for the day and, whilst out , have signed a petition to save our local golf course.
(Walkers allowed to walk there at their own discretion)
The powers - that - be want to develop it into some sort of Amusement Park!
Heaven forbid!
Our oven has finally died ( a timing malfunction) ...so the boys are being allowed MacDonalds for their tea!
A repair man is coming tomorrow to see if it the timer can be fixed.
Otherwise it will mean a new cooker!
Have you been watching any Sport?
I don't know what (if anything?) I have missed?
I shall play catch up later, when the boys are in bed.

Good early evening, Elle!
I would have signed your petition too!
Is the golf course well used?
We are lucky.
Many courses around here.
Yes, hopefully the timer can be fixed.
I am sure your repairman will tell you if repair makes sense or not compared to a new cooker.
I have watched a bit of sport, but BBC are forever changing channels/programmes and it is less than straightforward.
I feel for those at work who attempt to record the games to watch when they come home, but I think some may find they have recorded "Antiques R Us" or whatever it's called.
Going to watch Brazil v USA at the waterpolo soon.
I have not a Scooby about the rules!
Then cycling comes on about 8.
There was a bit on BBC News Tayside website about Lassie starting her migration.

Good evening, Rusty!
Yes, I think the golf course is used well enough - it is certainly very popular at weekends if not as much on weekdays.
But walkers are permitted to cross it providing they are responsible for their actions.
Were it to be converted to an Amusement Park we should lose a lot of "green space".
The golf course lies in the midst of fields and woods, so the whole area would be ruined.
I have got round this problem of recording the wrong items due to misinformation in the TV guides and alteration of schedules, by either watching the sport live on the BBC Sport website, or watching it later (recorded) on BBC iplayer.
That is working well for me (as yet! let us not tempt Providence!)
My younger daughter plays water polo.
She is a competent player and used to play for the local Swimming Club.
I couldn't tell you the Rules though.
Time to shepherd the kids towards a bath.......then we shall play a board game before they go to bed about 8 pm........
I hope the cycling goes well.
Are we to expect any more medals?

Hello, Elle!
A golf course is far better for the neighbourhood than an amusement park. For the wildlife too.
I found the water polo hard to follow!
Yes, there will be medals to come, hopefully, in cycling.
Laura Trott has started nicely in the omnium.
I am looking for gold there, but Sarah Hammer of USA is a tough opponent.
Cav is going along nicely in the men's omnium and I think will get a medal.
He squandered points in the elimination race though.
Could make a big difference.
The girl sprinters, Becky James and Katy Marchant, are doing away fine, too.
Fingers crossed there!
Could be a good evening!
And Jason Kenny will be in the keirin later in the week.

Hi, Rusty!
Whew! I am exhausted!
The boys are in bed and hopefully will be asleep soon.
They have been allowed to read in bed for half an hour before putting out the light.
The cycling has just started on the television, I hope all goes to plan and your expectations.
I shall be attempting to play catch up with the athletics on the computer.
God Bless modern technology!
I read about Lassie having set off on her flight. Two chicks in the nest at the moment.
They will need to up their game and learn to fish a bit more proficiently, if they are to survive their journey out into the world on their own.
They are dragging their heels a bit, aren't they?
( if one can say that about a bird!)
