Oh dear Pigale, I'd forgotten about hornets! I was busy being scared of wasps!

Hey, Rusty!
Tommy Atkins and I have been curled up on the sofa...we're getting on very well!
I'm about half way through the book now - it's hard to put it down once you get going!
Lyn MacD is an excellent historian - is that her profession as well as being an author?
I can see myself reading all through the series.
What are you reading now?
Wasps? well, I think you've out-talked the subject by now.....! We've had one or two in our bedroom, which spooked me somewhat. We had a wasps' nest under the eaves outside our window a few years ago and I wondered if they had come back.
I take it 'bike ' is Scots for nest?
You're lucky to have sons 'in the profession' who can do jobs for you! The new kitchen sounds good! How about mates' rates?! ( I'm too far way tho'!)
Glad you enjoyed the cycling - I like watching for the background scenery!
I need to do some shopping - for clothes!!! and various bibs and bobs from a larger Boost than we have here, so may go to Bromley tomorrow ( I know how you hate towns!)
I will of course take the dog out for a marathon walk first!

Hello, Elle,
I knew you and Tommy would be a good match!
Lyn is a military historian and became an author.
I had an idea you would like her books.
Some good ones lie ahead for you.
Once you get your new car on the road you should go and visit her. She lives near you, in London.
Have a nice chat, and don't forget the Eccles cakes.
Sister Mary Stoppard went out for some when Lyn visited and she was in her nineties.
Yes, we say a wasps bike.
I am very lucky with my sons. It was bedlam fora wee while they were working! All done now.
I don't know Boost? But I have heard of Bromley!
Getting good, eh!

Hi, Rusty!
I remember Sister Mary going out for the eccles cakes! That resulted in a discussion about chorley cakes, didn't it ? the latter are lovely (not as sweet as eccles cakes) you should try them.
I don't think 'Boost' exists! - that was a typo - should have read 'Boots'!! sorry about that....
Yes, you are doing well to remember Bromley - you'll become a Southerner yet......
Whereabouts in London does Lyn MacD live ?
I'm going to make a cup of coffee and read another chapter, then bed.....
Are you doing anything nice tomorrow ?

Elle, I seem to recall she lives in North London.
So does Anne Bradford, so you could visit both on the same trip?
May be a good idea to phone ahead to let them know.
If you don't have their numbers, the publisher will do it for you.
I know Boots!
I bought my washing machine from them.
Splendid company!

Hello, Doglet!
Hope you are grand!
California Chrome?
He is a smashing horse on dirt.
Not so sure he will like the ground at Ascot.
Great of the Yanks bringing him over, though.
Paddy Power is offering 12-1.
My own preference would be The Grey Gatsby.
Should be a great meeting!

Hi Doglet!
The book came very quickly after all, didn't it? I hope you enjoy reading it this afternoon!
But aren't you going to watch the tennis at Queens?
Cold and windy? dare I say that it is warm and sunny here?!

Afternoon, Rusty!
I had a successful shopping trip to Bromley. Monday is a good day to go, as it is always quiet. The shops were virtually empty - I whizzed round in no time! Got all but one thing on my list!
Busy afternoon coming up - crossword first while I drink my coffee! then dog -walk and tennis, not sure in what order!
Will you be watching any of the tennis at Queen's this week?
Lovely day here - warm and sunny! How about you?(Doglet's definitely living in the wrong place!)
