Found it by going through Google and typing in Hotmail, signed in again and there was my Inbox - this time complete with emails - but the email icon on home screen still presents as a blank, with nothing showing in the supposed inbox there - very strange!
But you've spent more than enough time sorting me out! Thank you for your patience! (at least now I know how to access it as a temporary measure )
Going to bed shortly. Hope we'll wake up tomorrow !G'night!

Well, that's something, Elle.
Your daughter will be able to help you, I think.
Possibly, when you are on Hotmail page, if you go in settings, there may be an "add to home screen" setting.

Goodnight, Elle.

Morning, Rusty!
I take it those are the names of the Waltons?
Unfortunately, I never watched the series. I think it was broadcast in the early 1970s?
I'd just moved to London then, to work in the Haemophilia Centre at the Royal Free Hospital. I shared a flat with four others. I was too busy going out and about ( but certainly not getting into any mischief!) to watch much television!
A dull .but so far dry day - altho we are forecast rain in a little while. Hope it's brighter where you are?
I've set the recorder for the Athletics in case we're not back from our walk. Are you planning to watch? or are you off out somewhere?
Yesterday's was very good!

Hi Doglet!
I shall look up that book on Amazon! I've got quite a lot of art books but that is one I haven't heard about.
Did you go the exhibition at the Tate - oh a good few years ago now - about Whistler, Turner and Monet- comparing their works? it was excellent.
If remember it rightly , Whistler and Monet were good friends who shared an admiration for Turner's work.

Hi Elle

wished I had seen it but a friend gave me the catalogue
The Ashmolean have two exhibitions one of James Gilroys work and another one of British drawings we have tickets to both so will have to have a food break between them.We go on the coach to Oxford it is far better than trying to find a parking space and stops in the middle of town. The book is cheaper than the price in the Times and since it was prime one I shall get it tomorrow so if the weather is anything like today cold and damp for the rest of the week I have something to look forward too

Good grief, Elle!
You did not watch the Waltons? I am aghast!
Erin Walton was my favourite.
I think it is still on one of the Sky channels.
Dull day here, too.
No, I have the Criterium du Dauphine to watch.
Final stage, up to a ski station.
And, I recorded a prog yestreen about Sir Henry Cecil and Frankel. That'll do me.
Is your Hotmail working in the manner intended, yet?
