Hello, Elle!
Getting colder!
Yes, my son appears to have been quite lucky the way things worked out.
I understand about your grandson's street cred!
It's very important!
The skiing was great.
For the second run, the course gates were set by the Swiss coach, which I thought would be in favour of Wendy Holdener.
But poor Wendy only got as far as the second gate, which she straddled, and was out!
Mikaela won by over two seconds, which is huge!
Petra Vlhova was second and Anna Swenn Larsson was third.
So a win for USA on Thanksgiving weekend!
It was minus 10C on the course. A tad chilly!
On to Lake Louise in Canada next week.
TV off until tomorrow!

Update, Elle!
Here is Mikaela's second run.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiPlRvh2OAs
She did not win a reindeer this week, just a big crystal trophy.
The reindeer she won last week, she has named Ingemar!

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin for the past hour......she was late in phoning this week as she had been visiting her daughter.
All are well up there, but feeling very cold!!
Well done, Mikaela!
Thank you for the clip showing her run.
Now I know of Lake Louise in Canada......
My Canadian (ex Brit) old school friend goes skiing around there.
She is president of her local ski club and organises skiing events etc.
I wonder what sort of week lies ahead......
We have another PPG meeting to attend.
And I think I have broken a small bit off a tooth, so will probably need to see my dentist!
Oh dear!
Coffee needed .... the answer to everything!

Hello, Elle!
I think it is slightly less cold here, now.
Yes, Mikaela was very good.
I have investigated Lake Louise and it looks beautiful there, and it is minus 18C just now !
That's colder than I have ever experienced.
I am looking forward to the racing there!
Will your dentist seal the tooth, or fill it, do you think?

Hi, Rusty!
I think Lake Louise is in Banff?
In Calgary, where my friend lives, the temperature with wind chill factor added in, is sometimes as low as minus 30C.
They don't go outside!
Unfortunately, my tooth is already filled...but it is a bit of tooth itself, not filling, that has broken off.
I don't know what the dentist will do?
I am lucky in that I only have a few fillings...I've no previous experience as to what might happen in this situation?
What do you mean by "seal" the tooth?

Hello, Elle!
I believe Lake Louise is in Banff, yes.
Sealing a tooth means coating it with plastic finish to prevent decay.
A liquid is painted on to the tooth.
But, don't be listening to me.
Heed your dentist.
He/she may smooth it off, or fill it.
There will be several options for you, I think.

Hi, Rusty!
I've never come across tooth sealant before......I suppose just because it has never been necessary.
As soon as I know which day, and what time , our GP surgery meeting is (which takes priority at the moment) I will make an appointment with my dentist.
She is very good, and I am sure will sort out my tooth.
My timing is terrible!
I have only just been for my six monthly check up, and was given the "all clear"!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is an absolutely glorious day here!
Bitterly cold; "1C but will feel like minus 2C", according to the BBC local forecast.
But cold and dry - with blue sky and sunshine thrown in - is fine with me.
And a hard frost equals clean dog!
It is our Wedding Anniversary today!
We have been married for 47 years.
I am just going to print out the crossword......
I have a coffee beside me in readiness!

Good morning, Elle!
Much milder here today,
No frost!
Just home.
Got quite a few of my wee chores completed!
But have another couple to go out and do.
Firstly, a coffee, before I'll fly away.
I think the dental sealant is mainly for young ones.
But I don't know what treatment you may be offered.
I think it will be an easy fix, though.
