Hello, Elle!
Trotty was second to Kirsten Wild.
She did not seem as sharp as she normally is.
You will be looking forward to seeing your family!
I have the weekend to myself.
Misses O and L-B are going to Aberdeen for the day tomorrow.
My "Teapots" book is not very good.
I'll put in my pile for the PDSA shop.

Hi, Rusty!
Still, second is very commendable?
Is this good enough, though, for Laura to be considered for the Olympic team?
Yes, it will be great to see the family.
I have had a text saying they are coming tomorrow, although my daughter did not specify a time!
We haven't seen them for a couple of weeks now, so that will be nice.
That is disappointing about your book.
Had you read anything before by this author? or is he new to you?
I like Aberdeen...I have fond memories....
Are the girls going there for any special reason?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, second for Trotty was commendable.
Two errors of judgement cost her the gold, and Kirsten Wild is a top class rider.
Oh, I think Trotty will be going to Japan.
She has won four Olympic golds so far.
But there is great competition in the women's cycling team and younger riders coming through.
But, there has been no super sprinter since Victoria Pendleton retired.
I have read some of John B. Keane's work before, but I don't like this one.
I have no idea why the girls are heading to Aberdeen.
They never told me, it was their Dad.
He brought me a lovely roast beef meal from the butchers he goes to!
I am spoiled!

Hi, Rusty!
What is happening with Victoria these days?
She was much in the News for a time, when debuting in the horse riding world.....but seems to have disappeared from public view of late.
That was kind of your son , bringing you a roast beef meal!
He is good about turning up with delicious food items, isn't he?
Roast beef is one of my favourites.
I think pizzas will be the main order of the day, though, tomorrow.
Both grandsons love them!
We shall do some large jacket potatoes with butter, as well!
I still don't know what time to expect everyone...but we shall go out early with the dog, as usual....and I think my daughter will be doing her park run , too.
I suspect it will be lunch timeish when they arrive.

Hello, Elle!
I am not too sure what Victoria is up to these days.
Halfords sell her brand of bikes.
And she was doing promo work for several companies.
She and her husband have parted, unfortunately.
I have not heard much about her since she returned from Everest.
She admitted to having depression.
I know she was glad to get away from bike racing.
My son is very thoughtful, yes.
The butcher sells quite a few meals.
Even curries, all made on the premises.

Good morning, Elle!
Fine cold morning here.
I'll look at my puzzle later.
No plans today, so far.
Will take the day as it comes.

Good evening, Rusty!
The family has now headed homewards.
We have had a lovely day all together.
Lunch went down a treat...all the children's favourites!
We spent most of the afternoon playing games .......and even a short time out in the garden as the weather has been glorious.
Time now for coffee and cakes, I think!
And a bit of R & R!

Good evening, Elle!
Been good weather here, too.
I'm glad you and your family had a good time.
I have had a quiet day.
Been watching the cycling this evening.
Reading "Becoming" now.
It is very interesting.
