Hello, Elle!
That is good about your cousin and kin in the North!
Suzann is 38, but she has a young son and has barely played in the last two years.
The team captain, Catriona Matthew, was criticised in some quarters for picking Suzann, due to her lack of play.
But it payed off big time!

Here is a wee clip of Suzann doing a bit of disco dancing while waiting to tee off!

Good morning, Rusty!
A damp morning here ....... we have unforecasted rain!
Cooler, too, than over the weekend.
I am in for the rest of the morning, anyway.
I have some deliveries expected but am now sure when.
Suzann looked happy in the clip!
Yes, the team captain made a good choice in selecting her.
And it was great for Suzann to retire on a peak!
What are you up to today?

Good morning, Elle!
Lovely day here!
Yes, Suzann looked happy.
The Americans will be glad to see the back of her!
She caused a lot of controversy four years ago in the Solheim Cup, too.
I have no plans today.
Had a birthday card to post, but that's done.
May go out for a dander later.

Hi, Rusty!
Have you been out for a stroll?
The rain has ceased, but I am still housebound as I yet awaiting my parcel.
It is being delivered by Yodel?
Do you know the company?
I haven't received stuff via this courier before, but am not impressed by their "time slot".......
I am informed by email that my delivery will be.....any time "before 9pm tonight"!
I am accustomed to a far more helpful "one hour" time slot!
I was hoping to go out for another walk!
Btw, a good thing you mentioned having to post a birthday card...it sent me to check on my wall calendar....
And yes! I too should be out posting a card!
Oops!

Good afternoon, Elle!
Beautiful weather here.
Yes, I was out for a wander for half an hour.
I have vaguely heard of Yodel but have had no dealings with them, that I am aware of.
Are the "one hour slots" not more expensive?

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I have had "one hour" time slots with a free delivery.
It probably depends on the courier?
Sometimes one is given an option in that one can pay more money for something to arrive on an earlier date...
But I always go with "Standard delivery" anyway......and sometimes this is "free", perhaps depending on how much one has spent on the order.
But this is not the same thing as being given a specific time for actual delivery on an arranged date.
DPD for instance always give an hour's time slot, of which they apprise you on the morning of the given delivery date.
They are by far the best courier service I have come across......and if given an option, I always pick them.
I am not impressed with having to wait in until possibly 9 o'clock tonight for Yodel!
I have done all that I can of my crossword...still four unsolved clues......
Have you finished yours?
I expect that you have !

Hello, Elle!
Me too. I opt for Standard delivery.
Hopefully Yodel will not be as late in the evening as that.
Yes, I finished my puzzle earlier.
Was not too difficult, I don't think.

Good evening, Rusty!
Yes, Yodel turned up a while ago..
I was not best pleased, as the driver simply rang the doorbell...did not wait to see if I was at home and answered..... but dumped the parcel in my porch in full view of the pavement ......and vanished from sight!
Had I not in fact been at home, anyone passing could have stolen the package.
What a company!
I wrote a review to such effect, and found I was among many like- minded people!
Moral of the story.....if avoidable, don't use Yodel!
Yes, I, too, thought today's crossword was reasonable...most answers going in easily enough from the clues and the crossers.
But I have three still to do..... I may need to ask you for help later, please .
But I shall have one more attempt at solving them after (a late) dinner!

Good evening, Elle!
Not a good story about Yodel!
I prefer Royal Mail if possible.
It is an excellent idea trying to solve your puzzle after a break.
Often things become clearer.

Hi, Rusty!
Okay, I concede defeat!
Please can you help?
I am down to three clues, but am now stuck!
15d: Fine covering swindle involving key capital (9)
C?P?R?S?N
6d: Mother and girl finding way round chief steward (5-4)
MAJOR - DOMO = chief steward (def)
Ma - mother
Jo -girl
RD - way
O - round
Which leave me with "MO"?
This stands for "medical officer" .... or "modus operandi "?
But there is no indication of anything meaning this in my clue?
And I didn't really understand 3d?
It's obviously (B) right- on...but why?
