Hi, Rusty!
The "snails" tip sounds a bit like keeping goats to mow your lawn.....
When we used to go to Pakefield ( in Suffolk) on holiday, the local church always had two goats in the churchyard to keep down the grass!
I should be tempted to hunt for snails and try out the cleaning operation!
It would be enterprising?
But maybe worth considering getting an estimate for a professional job?
It turned out to be a lovely afternoon here......although I believe we are set to have rain tomorrow.
There is no "Eggheads" tonight....women's football again!
Grrh!
Curry for dinner...….

Hello, Elle!
I will stay clear of the snails, I think!
The professional clean is tempting.
I think there may be a payment to the cemetery, too.
But, there is no hurry.
It has been raining here most of the day.
I take it you don't like the women's football.
I find it much more sporting than the men's game!
No Eggheads!
Get yourself on to YouTube,
There are hundreds of Eggheads shows on there!

One of the most valuable tips you will ever get - don't keep geese to eat the grass. Their digestive systems are so inefficient that there's very little difference between what goes in and what comes out!

Good evening, Rusty!
No, I am not fond of football, no matter who is playing!
I miss my daily dose of "Eggheads", but would have no doubt seen all (most) of the ones recorded on YouTube, as I have watched the show since its inception!
Mind you, I have still not solved how it is that there are "repeats", that I have never yet seen!
I suppose I could find some very early programmes on YouTube, though, where I might perhaps have forgotten the answers to the questions.....
Uhmm....I shall explore......
We have been invited out for coffee - and cakes - tomorrow!
We are going to see our old friend, and ex-neighbour,r at his daughter's house.
We all have regular catch -ups, as our families have been friends for years!
I am looking forward to that.
It is almost dark here.

Hello, Chris!
I cannot envisage keeping geese...but I wouldn't mind a goat or two!
We regularly used to pass a guy walking three goats on leads, when we were on our way to Tescos.

Hello, Elle!
It is getting dark here, too, and it is not warm!
I think on Eggheads, they record several shows each day when they are recording them, so it is very likely there will be shows you have not watched.
Meanwhile, here is my favourite Ukrainian on AGT.

Hi, Rusty!
Thank you for the video clip!
As usual, Kseniya was marvellous.
I see that was recorded ten years ago.
I shall be very surprised - and indeed disappointed - if anyone else is chosen to win this Champions contest.
I know we haven't seen all the entrants yet, but Kseniya's talent is unique......surely beyond comparison.
I do wish, though, that we could get to the bottom of the strange "super fans" voting system, in the new series of shows.

Hello, Elle,
No, the last clip was recorded this year at AGT Champions.
Yes, she is very talented, indeed.
We don't know who is to come on the show but I can't think of anyone else, off the top of my head, who could beat her.
Do you remember the little three year old boy, who was a Syrian refugee, who was found dead on the beach after his boat sank?
This is Kseniya's portrayal of him.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, now regarding the first clip that you sent....
I obviously became confused over the timings.
I realised that the date of the interview was 2019.
But then later, a caption came up on the video screen saying "Winner in 2009" as part of the portrayal continued......so I thought that section was being shown from then.
The second clip was very sad, but a wonderful tribute to the young boy.
How incredibly skilled Kseniya is...to show the story so beautifully, and to draw so accurate a picture of Alan Kurdi.
I looked it all up on Wikipedia to refresh my memory......and there is a photo of the boy there.......exactly as Kseniya portrayed him in the sand.
She goes up and up in my estimation!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I understand, the date of her win in Ukraine was 2009.
Can be confusing!
Her portrayal of little Alan was exactly as I remembered him lying on the beach.
I am looking forward to seeing her in the final!
She'll have the old pensioner to beat though!
I have been wondering if there is an error in 27a, today.
Should "emits" be "omits", or does it work the way it is?

I have cleaned many headstones as I have recorded whole churchyards. All you need is a plastic box with water and a scrubbing brush. If you think the stone is friable use a toothbrush, gently. I have also used lolly sticks to ease off lichen. I have seen it written that a mild solution of bleach is OK but I have only ever used water. It is no five minute job, though. My favourite stone reads-

The grave has eloquence, its lessons teach
In silence louder than divines can preach
Ye daughters of Eve and sons of Adam hear
It speaks to you, lend an attentive ear.

No name, no date,19th century style of engraving.
