Good morning, Rusty!
Another sunny day......we are doing well.....
And this must surely be the driest Wimbledon ever!
I am looking forward to the Women's Semis this afternoon!
Goodness me, what a horror story about your wisdom tooth, Rusty!
"Did not have the strength in her wrist to do it....."!
Aaagh!! Help!
But seriously.....fortunately my dentist is excellent.... and I trust her!
I shall be fine!
Wrong mountains to see a bear? I shall wait....

The hour is probably to allow the anaesthetic to take full effect, elle, and also to wait a while after to be sure you're OK.

I wish we could have some rain (none for about 2 weeks now)- accuweather had two times yesterday when the chance was over 60%, but it was sunny then.

Shall be so glad when there is something other than tennis on BBC. Are not one channel and red buttons etc enough?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here, though it was wet earlier.
I hope to see a bit of the tennis, too.
It was no horror story at the dental hospital, Elle.
Just a young girl learning her trade.
And in fairness, the professor frequently asked me if I was OK.
And it was over forty years ago!
The young lady has probably had an excellent career in dentistry and is happily retired now!
No, no bears today.
Should be good racing though.
The climbers will be licking their lips!
I am intrigued by the name of the ski station, though.
It translates as "The Board of the Beautiful Girls", I think.
Wonder why?
Hope the scenery is nice, too.

Hi, Rusty!
We are awaiting the plumber...he said he was coming between 10 am and noon.
He doesn't have much time left within his ETA!
We are not sure whether we have a leaky pipe or the dampness is caused by condensation......
We want the pipes checked out before we arrange for the builders to come and replaster and redecorate the area.
I hope he makes it before start of the tennis!
I am battling with the crossword today......is it particularly hard?
Or is it just me not grasping the essentials?
I liked 23a: oaths
6d: psychobiography is a new word for me!

Never mind , Ros......take heart......only a few more days to go and
Wimbledon fortnight will be over for another year!
Then you will get your programmes back!

Good afternoon, Elle!
Hope your plumber comes soon.
Could be help up on another job though....it happens.
I was not completely in sync with today's setter.
It took me a while to finish it!
Never heard of psychobiography, too!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, the plumber turned up eventually!
Fortunately, we do not have a leak in the suspect pipes...and he is going to give us a quote to enlarge the shower cubicle in our second bathroom........
So it is all stations go!
I watched Simona Halep beat Elina Svitolina most efficiently.
So now Simona goes on to play in the Final against Serena Williams on Saturday.
I did not see Serena play, but watched instead one of the Men's Doubles Semi -Finals.
Then my daughter phoned on her way home from work......so we have just been having a nice chat!
How is the cycling going today?
The mountain scenery will have been splendid.

Hello, Elle!
The plumber did well!
I did not see any tennis today.
Cycling was good, as was my son's visit.
Yes, a beautiful part of France.
I enjoyed it!

Good evening, Rusty!
I am glad you and your son had a good time together.
I found today's tennis a bit disappointing …....there was not much competition for Simona Halep or Serena in their respective matches.
I wonder how the Final will go?
The first Men's Doubles Semi-final that I watched was excellent, though.......neither side deserved to lose!
I have put Bill B's "At Home" aside for now....I have learned a lot...but it is time for a break!
I am reading a murder mystery by John Harvey....I enjoy his books.

Good morning, Rusty!
A very cloudy day here so far......"heavy" and "sticky"......hope it doesn't rain for the tennis!
It is extremely quiet on the Forum this morning.
I wonder if folk are doing the same as I am .... rushing around trying to accomplish all the chores etc before the onset of Wimbledon.
Or, of course, Le Tour de France .
I had a bit of shopping to do.....
It will be almost a relief to be back to normal next week!
The dog will certainly be pleased that her afternoon walk will resume its normal length.......of both time and distance!
Time now for a coffee before I do my next job!

Good day, Elle!
Fine day here, with a nice breeze!
It has been quiet on the forum for a good while now.
Many regulars have departed.
No birds in the nest when I looked in.
Wonder when Lassie will go?
Off for a wee dander now and then I'll catch up with the Tour.
