Good evening, Rusty!
Well, what a match! What incredible tennis!
I am glad you managed to see it!
Both men had chances along the way........
It was a great pity that Roger could not capitalise on the two Championship points he had at 8-7......
But Novak triumphed in the end, and was indeed a worthy winner!
Well done, him!
And both players were so gracious in their speech, and in the way they complimented each other....it was good to hear.
A great day, wasn't it?
And still the Women's Doubles Final to come........

Good evening, Elle!
It is a beautiful evening here.
Yes, it was a great match by two excellent players.
I did not hear the speeches, though.
It has been a very good Wimbledon, but then it usually is.
I am still very impressed by the ball boys and girls.
They are simply super efficient!
Jemma Reekie has done the double at the European under 23 Championships.
She has won 800 metres and 1500 metres.

HI, Rusty!
Yes, the speeches were really nice.......
I am keeping a weather eye on the Women's Doubles.... but I have watched enough TV!
I just want to see the outcome, without paying the match too much attention!
Well done, Jemma Reekie!
She will be a force to be reckoned with, I think, in due course?
I still have the Monaco DL to watch, but will save that for tomorrow.
Any news on the cyclist who hurt his head?

Hello, Elle!
I get tired watching TV, too.
Jemma is doing fine.
Her coach is Andy Young, who coaches Laura Muir.
Fabio Baldato says De Marchi can not remember the crash.
This is the latest info I can find on him.

Not too good.
He'll be off the bike for a while.

Hi, Rusty!
From what the newspaper article said, de Marchi has been lucky in escaping serious injury, hasn't he?
His problems are bad enough, but fortunately not life threatening, and he should hopefully soon be on the mend.
Rehabilitation on the bike sounds as though it will take a few weeks......
And then he will go back and run the risk of its all happening again!
I "lost" the tennis match!
It was playing on BBC2 before I went to get a drink...and then had vanished on my return!
I don't know why they didn't stick with it until the match had finished...especially as it was getting fairly close to the end?
I had to watch the rest of the scoring on the computer!
Barbora Strycova and Su -wei Hsieh won.

Hello, Elle!
It could have been much worse.
He'll be out for a couple of months anyway, but he'll have lost all his fitness and condition.
I'm pretty sure there will be more crashes ahead of him!
That's the way of it in cycle racing!
No crashes tomorrow. It's a rest day!

Good morning, Rusty!
A cloudy, cooler day here....and no tennis to watch!
What a fantastic fortnight it's been!
I still have the Monaco DL to watch, though.
My daughter is in Amsterdam now, attending a course!
She will be there until Wednesday ...... very nice!
Your granddaughters are heading off, too.
What time is their flight?
Will you be tracking it?

Good morning, Elle!
It is overcast here, but the forecast is good weather later.
The girls have just left Edinburgh, bound for Newark.
Their Dad dropped them at the airport.
Should be there around 17.00.
I have it on FlightAware.
And their flight down to Orlando.

Hi, Rusty!
I hope the girls have a good holiday!
How long will they be away ?
Are they staying in Newark for a time, then, before travelling down to Orlando?
Newark is in New Jersey, I think? (my Geography is not good!)
We stayed in Jersey City for a short time, when our daughter was over there.
It was lovely living by the Hudson River, in a waterfront apartment!

Hello, Elle!
I hope they have a good time, too.
They are both hard workers and deserve a nice holiday.
I do not know how long they are away, but I imagine two weeks?
They are changing aeroplanes at Newark.
It is in New Jersey, yes.
