Hi, Rusty!
My dog does not like thunder....she will be very glad that we have not (yet) had a storm!
"Drookit", Rusty?
That is a new one to me?
I am just about to watch "The Voice Kids".......
It is the last of the blind auditions today!
I shall sit back and enjoy it!

Hello, Elle!
Droukit is "drenched"!
It's in Collins Dictionary.
There were several torrential downpours here, and continual thunder.
My TV was affected, but I've turned it off until tomorrow.

Hi, Rusty!
Have your storms abated?
I am surprised your Internet connection has not been affected, if your TV is on the blink?
I hope the worst is over?
I don't think we are going to be affected here....
Our weather seems set to be a tad cooler from tomorrow ....only a high of low to mid twenties, if the forecast is accurate.
That will suit me fine!
I think we are in for a bad night first, though...it is very hot and "heavy"!
I enjoyed "The Voice"....
All the places are filled now, so the coaches get to work with their choices.......
And next week, the "Battle rounds "begin!

Hello, Pigale!
How is it going?
I keep thinking about you and the heat!
I have had my fan going all day........ and we are about ten degrees cooler than you!
Your friend will find it a shock when he arrives tomorrow....... a big change from here!

Hello, Elle!
Still getting intermittent very heavy downpours.
My internet connection and Sky TV are not linked.
They are separate things.
Why should one affect the other?
It is quite warm still.

Hi, Rusty!
I've no idea!
It is just that occasionally when we have a violent thunderstorm here, both the television and the computer are sometimes affected....we will get flickering on the screens and similar disturbances....and maybe lose our Internet connection.
I thought we were having thunder here a short time ago.......but someone is letting off fireworks!
I think they are coming from the park...there is an open air film show up there tonight.
The dog is fretful...I hope the noise stops soon!

Good morning, Elle!
The violent weather has passed!
Looks not too bad outside.
I have never had Sky TV affected by weather before, so that came as a surprise.
A "No signal" message appeared on the screen instead of a picture.
This was after the picture had been breaking up during the Sweden v Germany match.
My internet is "usually" OK, but there can be the odd time when it plays up.
I had an update from Google Chrome yesterday (it takes seconds!) and my Chromebook seems to be faster since it was done.

Morning, Rusty. I know you often don't have your television on, but there's a programme on Wednesday that might interest you. It's 'The River: A Year In The Life of the Tay'. The blurb in my tv guide mentions 'Tay guardians' - I like the sound of those! It's on BBC 4 at 9 pm.

Good morning, Malone!
Thank you kindly for the tip about the "Tay" programme.
It looks as if it could be very interesting!
My son often fishes for salmon on the Tay and I'll let him know, too.
I wonder if the lady who made the programme is the same Helen Macdonald who wrote "H is for Hawk"?
If it is, there lots of videos on YouTube about her.
I may explore later!
Thanks again!

Update, Malone!
It is the same Helen Macdonald.
Here is a short video about the programme.
I think I am hooked!

Thanks, Rusty. You might have spotted the programme anyway, but I thought I'd mention it. It sounds very interesting, I too will watch it.
