I hope you and Miss O had a good time?
Well, my morning did not quite go to plan....
I had hopefully envisaged doing the crossword, then watching the DL and the Great Manchester Run......
But I missed some of that because we had visitors!
However, the company was very pleasant!
And, as always, I had set the recorder against such a happening !
So I can catch up with events later.
But all being well......I am intending to watch the tennis on Court One this afternoon!

Hi, Rusty!
The events on Court One to celebrate the new roof are going great!
There are three celebrity exhibition matches, just one set apiece.
A Men's Doubles kicked off: Pat Cash and Lleyton Hewitt v Jamie Murray and Goran Ivanisevic.
The men played some excellent tennis whilst playing the fool!
Goran showed quite an unexpected gift for being a comedian!
It was level pegging all the way through (intentionally, I think) but the Aussies just won.
Very amusing!
The second match was a Women's Singles: Kim Clijsters v Venus Williams.
Venus won.
And very shortly, there is to be a Mixed Doubles: John Mc and Kim against Jamie and Martina Navratolova.
That also promises to be good fun.
Yes, a great afternoon's entertainment!
And the proceeds go to both the players' chosen charities, and the Wimbledon Foundation.

Yes, the tennis was great!
And good sportsmanship was abounding! Nice to see!
Mac and Kim won the Mixed Doubles - excellent play from all four players.
Mac said afterwards that he thought Jamie had gone easy on them!
That was a very interesting article that you sent....
And it so good to know that not only one of our "own" ospreys, PH1, has returned this year to nest....but that ospreys generally are increasing in the area.
I still have the Athletics to watch at some point!
But I'd better find some food first.....
