Hello, Elle!
No, I have forgotten what a baby shower is.
I had never heard tell of one before.
I do not know if the mother has had the baby yet.
Yes, my book is about a journalist who went to live in Creeslough (Throat Lake) in Donegal.
And how he got on there, and the different people etc.
It is good!

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a bright and sunny day here.
Still on the windy side, and chilly, though, but good for walking.
I am going to make a coffee, and take a look at the Everyman puzzle.
What are you up to today?

Good morning, Elle!
Great day here, too.
Hope that's the last of the snow!
I may get one or two of the family calling in later today.
Other than that I have no firm plans.
The skiing is on soon.
Will have a look at the golf later.
One of my favourites, Jim Furyk, is going along nicely, which is a nice surprise.
But, for me it's, "Anyone but McIlroy!"
Laddie has been redding up the nest this morning.
Hope Lassie is not too far away!

Hi, Rusty!
I have finished the Everyman.
I think the new setter is finally rising to the occasion.......the puzzle is gradually improving, although I should prefer it to be harder.
I now have the ST Cryptic to do!
It will be nice for you to have family dropping in!
I have just been chatting to my daughter.
We had thought of meeting up at a midway park, but there is still possible danger from falling trees, and she is reluctant to take the boys out in such winds.
Dog and I may venture forth again, in the early afternoon, though.
Yes, hopefully Lassie will arrive soon!

Hello, Elle,
My grandson has just left!
I am expecting more later.
I do not do Everyman but hope it is getting better.
Been a few complaints about it lately though whether they are justified or not, I do not know.
Just been watching the skiing.
Another win for Mikaela Shiffrin.
But, there is a new kid on the block!
17 year old Alice Robinson from New Zealand.
She came second and was delighted!

Hi, Rusty!
Good for Mikaela!
She is having a successful season.
Also the youngster from NZ.
Two quite successful crosswords all done and dusted.
You are doing well for visitors today!
Are you offering up a piece of madeira cake, and a cup of coffee to all comers?
Speaking of which , I am just gulping down a coffee whilst I write this (no cake tho')!
Then we are going out for a walk, whilst the sun is still shining.
Have fun with your other visitors!
Catch you later......

Hello, Elle!
Mikaela is superb!
But I was half hoping the youngster would do it.
She came mighty close!
I have had more folk here!
That's all for today though.
Great weather today.

Hi, Rusty!
We are home again...and only just in time to avoid massive hailstones!
What freak weather we are experiencing!
The dog thinks it is going to thunder.....she could well be right...
It is as black as night outside......oh dear......
I am in for the rest of the day now.
Is the skiing finished?

Hello, Elle!
Still a great afternoon here.
What a change from yesterday's snow!
Had several visitors earlier but all gone now.
I can relax!
The skiing usually takes place in the morning.
I may keep an eye on the golf later.
I hope Jim Furyk plays well.
He's 5 off the lead just now, I think.
The rangers at the loch have tweeted that they have re-opened the visitors centre now that the snow has cleared from the road, and that Laddie has been bringing in more sticks for the nest!

Good evening, Rusty!
Both wind and rain now seem to have died down......
I believe we are forecast sunshine for tomorrow, but with very much colder temperatures.
But that is all right.
I am happy with cold and dry...and merely a "light breeze"!
You are lucky to have had so many visitors!
I have been speaking to both daughters on the phone, and in another hour will be talking to my cousin.
I think it is her turn to phone......not that it really matters who rings whom.
My eldest grandson has had his secondary school place confirmed, and will have an Induction day at the new school in the late Summer.
He is looking forward to "moving on".
The family might move house, too, for easier access to the school, but this is only a thought as yet...........
Good for Laddie........he is certainly getting his house in order!
