Hello, Elle,
My thinking is WhatsApp will only send a message to one account. In my case, that is my phone.
I think they would need me to open another account for another device.
That is why I uninstalled it from my tablet.
Most of my kin contact me through WhatsApp and I am not risking losing touch with them.
I would, however, love to hear from anyone who has managed to have the account on two devices.
I looked at "translating" thing and it involved joining another web site, so, no.
Yes, Paula is a well known golfer. One who I occasionally have a wee bet on.
I'll tell you a nice wee story about Paula.
She is in Scotland this week to play in the British Open.
So, she packed her bags etc and headed to the airport and got on the plane in America. And guess who was driving the plane?
...Her husband! It was a surprise!
He works for United Airlines and managed to change shifts etc so he could fly Paula to Scotland!
Wasn't that nice of him!
Hope she plays well, but I think Lydia Ko will just about win.
It should be on TV.

PS.
Fealty's Book Club has now evolved into the Bangor Harbour Book Club.
I think they may have a Facebook entry.
I am not on Facebook.
I have quite enjoyed the last two days, what with the nice lad from Warrington, and the shenanigans with WhatsApp. Keeps me on my toes!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, I see what you mean about "Whats App" only sending a message to one account. Yes, that does make sense. If that is the case, then you are wise not to risk endangering your existing account with your mobile phone.
You don't want to do anything that might mess up your communication channel with your family.
I think you are correct in thinking that if you want "Whats App" on both appliances , then you might need two separate accounts? Certainly sounds plausible?
Yes, I think I did see Golf advertised in the new TV guide - I was having a quick look through it earlier.
I have heard of Lydia Ko! She's from New Zealand , isn't she? Very young - 17? 18?
There are also two lots of Athletics on this weekend.
Plus the cycling that Jazzgirl was telling us about - I remember watching the race going through her village last year; and she posted a link of the vineyards near Dorking - beautiful countryside, wasn't it?
And there is also a cycling event round one of our London parks - St. James' Park in central London.
Look out for that! About ten miles or so from us here though.
A lot of sport yet again!
Btw, did you manage to fit in doing your crossword today?

Hello, Elle.
I did crossword about teatime.
Yes, Lydia is a youngster.
I will watch Jazzgirl's cycling event.
She is getting dressed up for it and may have pom-poms! It was very nice around that area indeed.
One thing about cycling, there is always something to look at, along the highways and byways!
Why is the park named for St James, and which one?
I did not hear a cheep about about the swan-upping this year. Did it all go well?

Hi, Rusty!
Ok, one last History lesson before I go to bed!
St. James' Park is named after St. James the Less. This James (the Less) was the son of Alphaeus, as opposed to James (the Greater), the son of Zebedee. Both were apostles of Jesus.
The St. James area was named after a leper hospital dedicated to St. James the Less.
There is a near continuous link of parks, starting near Victoria and going on to South Kensington.
In order, you have St. James' Park, Green Park, Hyde Park, followed by Kensington Gardens. It is possible to walk through one into the other virtually all the way. It's an attractive and interesting walk.
St. James' Park ( about 60 acres) is in the City of Westminster, and is the oldest of London's Royal parks.
It includes The Mall and Horse Guards Parade. Trooping the Colour takes place there.
The Park is surrounded by Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James' Palace and Westminster.
Try to watch the cycle race there if you can - hopefully, you will be able to see something of the Park itself - it's a beautiful place.
(Does Jazzy know she's expected to provide pom-poms for the race in Surrey?)
Well, since you are no longer going to provide any midnight entertainment ( from "Whats app) I am going to bed.....Night!

Hello, Elle!
I shall soon be an expert on London!
That is interesting about St James.
I knew a wee bit about Santiago de Compostela.
St James of the Field of Stars.
That James was "the Great". I know people who have walked to Santiago on pilgrimage.
I did not realise there was so much greenery in London?
And I had it in my head that "mall" was an American/English word, and here you have one in London, too!
Trooping the Colour. I have heard of that.
I understand "trooping", but why " colour"?
No, Jazzgirl is going to the race with a placard!
Pom-poms is a suggestion of mine!
I am not sure many top riders will be in it.
Very soon after Le Tour, and the Clasica San Sebastian is on Saturday.
WhatsApp is working away fine on my phone, and I shall stay well away from the fine folks at Mountain View! They are a hoot, though, and enlivened my day!

hi rusty
I have the TV schedules for Saturday and Sunday. Will post them nearer the time. Wiggo and Mark Cavendish will be there for the male Classic race 200km on Sunday going up to the top of Box Hill.
In the Trooping of the colour , the military flag (known as the Colour) ) is carried on Horse Guards Parade with the soldiers that it represents marching behind it.

Good morning, Jazzgirl!
Fine day here!
Thank you for the info!
I remember Box Hill. Smashing climb!
Have you chosen a spectacular outfit for the occasion?
Later today, i am going to refresh my memory about colours. I spent a couple of hours in the Black Watch museum in Perth a few years ago and remember seeing "colours" on a wall with the names of battles on them. Loos, Ypres, Alemein, etc. Is that Colours, I wonder?
I am getting lots of ads on laptop today asking me to upgrade to Windows 10!
Will stay away just now.
New toaster is the priority today!

Good Morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here - slightly warmer and the sky is blue and sun shining! We had an enjoyable brisk walk!
Have you been out for your paper yet?
I don't know a lot about James ( the Greater), son of Zebedee..... where does Santiago de Compostela fit in? and why pilgrimages there? and the "Field of Stars"?
What is that? Your turn to tell me something........
Yes, we have a lot of green spaces in London, not only the central parks but many Commons and parkland in the peripheral areas of London.
We have several large parks very near us - a few are within walking distance but there are more within a short drive.
(I won't name the near ones or I might have to borrow Hector next time I go out! you are remembering to feed the piranhas?)
Trooping the Colour........ I must confess that I have never seen this!
The custom goes back to Charles II when the Colours of a regiment were used as a rallying point in battle. To ensure that the soldiers recognised the Colours of their own regiment, these were trooped in front of them everyday.
The "Trooping of the Colour" ceremony is now held on the Queen's "official" birthday in June each year. It takes place on Horse Guards Parade. The Queen herself attends and takes the salute.

P. S. Sorry, Rusty - I should have explained , in case you didn' t know, that the "Colour" is the regimental flag. but I see Jazzy has clarified that.

Morning, JG, are you aware that Rusty is expecting you to provide pom-poms on Saturday?!
