Hello, Elle!
Weather is getting worse here. Wild, wild, wild!
Well done on the box filling.
I knew "K" was a symbol of something beginning with "P" and phosphorus was in my clue and went for that.
I have noticed all week that Eggheads is not on my TV programme.
Wonder why?

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I have only two bookshelves left to sort through, now....unless, that is,
I decide to tackle all our text books.
These fill a further two lots of bookshelves, floor to (almost) ceiling.
Oh dear!
I am quite tired after all my exertions....
I have been climbing up and down a stepladder, carrying armfuls of books!
I was excited to find some treasured old favourites on the top shelves, hiding behind more newly acquired books!
I very nearly sat down in the middle of all the mess , to read one there and then.......
"Eggheads" is on BBC2 daily here at a new time of 4.45 pm?
I didn't realise that you received different programmes in Scotland?
I had assumed that the BBC programmes were the same across the board?
Uhmm..... looking around me now, I rather think I might need to hoover.......

Hello, Elle!
You appear to have made significant progress with the book clearing!
It's going to be some new roof on that church!
As regards BBC, Elle, BBC Scotland shows most of the programmes that you get and I am surprised that we are not getting Eggheads this week.
We are getting it next week!
BBC has many variants on my Sky planner, inc BBC Channel Islands, for instance.
I choose to get BBC Scotland, BBC Norn Iron, and BBC England, in my Sky "Favourites", so if I wanted, I could easily get Eggheads.
No let up in the weather here!

Hi, Rusty!
It is a pity about your weather.....
Are you getting restrictions yet on the Road Bridge?
We had a bit more rain here mid afternoon, but it is fine for now.
Going dark very quickly......
I have had a tidy up and hoovered!
Speaking of "Eggheads", I am just about to watch it!

Hello, Elle!
Earlier, there were only cars getting across the bridge.
No bigger vehicles, no pedestrians, no bikes.
But it has opened to all now, the wind has dropped.
Quite a few flooded roads about, I believe.

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that the bridge was opened before the rush hour; otherwise it would have been a miserable start to everyone's evening, had they to drive all the way round.
Fine here now, but getting even colder!
I've turned up the heating!
I have given up on today's crossword......
I struggled hard, but there s so much that I cannot do.......
I like a challenge...but I know when I'm licked!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the bridge is operating normally now, I think.
I think it is colder down your way than up here.
I have the heating off now!
There is no point in struggling with the puzzle, Elle.
It is meant to be fun, not a chore.
I liked it, though!

Hi, Rusty!
My goodness, you have caused me to shiver at the prospect of turning off the heating!
I find it highly unlikely that ours will be turned off - apart from every night time - from now until the Spring!
We normally only have it set lowish...but we do keep it on during daylight hours , throughout the Winter.
You must be made of "stern stuff"!!
Did I tell you that my daughter now has a new phone?
Somehow or other, she has managed to exchange her broken (screen smashed ) mobile for a new updated model, at an even better contract rate!
I am still unclear as to how she worked this miracle!

Hello, Elle!
I have on my fine microfleece shirt to keep me warm!
I highly recommend them!
And I often wear fleece lined Kiwi trousers.
Just seems sensible to me, in the Winter!
No, this is the first I have heard of a new 'phone.
She seems to have done well with her deal.
She maybe haggled a good deal from her provider?
I am with EE and they are very good to haggle with.
My contract expires in January, I think, but I am not sure if I'll get another 'phone, or just a SIM card deal.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, my daughter is with EE, too!
Yes, she seems to have come out of this very well!
I am glad it is all sorted, because she uses her phone for so many different things... a lot in connection with work.
It appears to be an "all - singing, all - dancing" appliance !
And her new contract with EE is very much cheaper than her previous "deal".
I am lost with your terminology.......what is a SIM card deal?
