Not to forget the extreme heat factor- last week was very taxing.

We were not far from where they are at present last week. Temperatures in the 30s every day, touching 40+ on occasion. Strangely it generally wasn't too trying to walk in - low humidity most days (one early morning was the sweatiest!)

Yes, I have heard some chuntering about "Sky motorhomes".

Chris, update on Sky motorhomes.
They used one in the Giro for Richie Porte.
They planned to use one for Chris Froome in the Tour.
After complaints from other teams, the UCI ruled that cyclists must live in the hotels provided by the race organisation
Sky non-cycling staff use the motor homes.
There are still complaints from other teams that Sky vehicles are filling the car parks!

The teams are so careful only to take food and drink from their own support staff during the stages, so I'm surprised that they aren't as vigilant over the evening meals.

I would imagine the Sky cooks will bring their own food and take over part of the kitchen.

Hope all is well; weather a little grey this morning and cooler - around 21C, and not due to go over 25C - we can breathe for about a week apparently. Might even have a few drops of rain early next week !

I have just read the stage preview on Steephill link and today's race sounds technically difficult, particularly the descents.

Yes, it would be nice to see him do something !

But what of Quintana? Movistar appears determined to distabilize Sky Team.

At least they should have less heat today.
