Morning Rusty !

Hope everything is Ok up in Dundee - you must enjoy a weather somewhat cooler than here - 30C already, and due to rise to 38/40 for around here! I'm going to stay in with all fans on!

The Tour is going to be suffering this afternoon; it is a very difficult stage, with several climbs coming after yesterday's efforts, and the heat is not going to help - but that's the Tour !

Now is Voeckler going to pursue improving his performance ? Looking at the GC, I see he is some 20 odd minutes behind the first time, that is a lot to catch up, and I am afraid he left it too late!

What do you make of Contador ? I mean this year, none of the favourites seem to be behaving the way we thought they would; added interest in a way but difficult to give prognostic ! and there are many riders I don't really know.

Wonder how long Froome will keep his yellow jersey - to the end I hope.

Hello Elle,

Hope you are OK. This forum seems very quiet again today!

Are you watching any of the Tour? Today is a spectacular one with several climbs and beautiful scenery (all this under extreme heat)

Can't promise a bear, but we saw another eagle yesterday.

What's your weather like, what is it likely to be for Lords? Can't get Radio 4 here today - somedays I can, others I can't , don't know why !

Hi, Pigale!
That was timely, I've just sat down at the computer!
Yes, I'm fine , thanks - just been very busy!
We're looking after our daughter's cat this week, so have a daily journey over to her house ( about 45 mins each way , then we spend a couple of hours there keeping the cat company!) so not a lot of time to spend on the forum.
I think I told you they are in Brittany? not having very good weather there by all accounts.
Yes, I've managed to watch the highlights of the Tour- haven't even seen an eagle though, let alone a bear!
Fantastic scenery!

Pigale ,
I forgot to tell you about the weather......
Tomorrow , in St John's Wood, where Lords is, it's supposed to be "dry and fine with sunny spells and a less-humid feel in a south westerly breeze" with maximum temperature 21C
It may of course change by tomorrow !

Glad you enjoy the scenery Elle; I personally the Pyrennees to the Alps - wilder nature.

I know Brittany is having the edge of the low pressure that is affecting (I think) the South Coast of England and thus not so sunny there. On the other hand, in the centre we are suffocating!

Can you watch a bit of Eurosport TV while you are 'cat sitting' ?

My two little ones (about three months old now) are two little devils ! So funny, and so lovely though! Watching them play is better than watching TV !

Hello Doglet
I rather agree, but I like to think that all is not lost - yet!
A friend of mine arrived at Lords at 7.30 this morning and there was already a long queue up the Wellington Road and he is a member! I believe he can now be found, somewhere, drowning his sorrows before setting off back to the West Country.
We cricket lovers cannot be accused of lack of dedication!

For Pigale

It is the Long Wave Radio 4 that I can't get in my car and TMS is only on LW or a digital channel which I can't get either! I have to suffer for my pleasure!

Glad you like the tea towel; I look forward to Christmas!

hi kenyatta
TMS is available on my car radio on Medium Wave, but I am in the London area.
Not sure where in the UK you are, but several areas are covered by MW. Let me know if I can help further
